currently watching: only thing i’m watching consistently is youtube with my boy. ludwig and his friend are motorcycling across china with no maps, and it’s really cool to see average/rural chinese people and landscapes

currently reading: just finished wuthering heights that i was reading with my sister. did not see the movie bc it sounded like it would piss me off, and hearing her review i was right lol. i need a new book though, i should go to the library after work

current obsession: ummmm i don’t have much going on… i just finished studying for and taking a professional exam that was by far the hardest exam i’ve ever taken. so, obsessed with hopefully passing that. still spending my free time at work learning british geography and medieval history, but that’s like a long term obsession

currently working on: trying to make a drawing for every month and then make a calendar for next year with the artwork. i’m still stumped on what april should be, i’m really enjoying the shadows under trees when it’s rainy, but how to draw that…

i made an alphabet :)

the symbols are based on the sound of the name of the letter. so ‘b’ is a buh stroke + the ‘e’ symbol for buh-ee. ‘x’ is an altered ‘e’ + kh stroke + ss stroke for eh-kh-ss. the vowels are defined on how they seem to me. ‘a’ (ayy) seems to go up, while ‘i’ (eye) seems to go down.

this is totally not a helpful alphabet :)) writing in it would only tell you how to say the names of the letters in a word, not how they sound or what they mean. however. i liked creating a system and i don’t care much to make it usable <3
