Sal that’s a very bad decision, what happens if you die? Then you’ll leave Leo by himself with a newborn at most, and two people to bury worst case

It does have the possibility to go a lot worse, but sals willing to take that chance. They know Leo's family and oscar would help take care of the baby too, so leo would never be alone on that.

There were too many people in the house. Nowhere to hide from anyone. No where he could take Lou where she could calm down. Which he could see she needed. She was pale and looked a little on the too-wide-eyed side. Meant she was overwhelmed. 

He came to her side and wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close, and navigating to the kitchen. Then, the pantry. No one in there. And he leaned against the door just before voices drifted into the kitchen. Sal pulled her over to rest her head on his chest. “I got you, Lou.... Relax...” he muttered, fingers running through the curls that she never quite seemed to tame. He loved that. His lips pressed to the top of her head. Then her forehead when she looked up. And the laughter behind the door they were hidden behind, grew louder, while he pulled her lips to his and kissed her, thoroughly and long.
