THE LION KING: THE GIFT TRACKLIST
With everyone anticipating the release of The Lion King remake this Friday, Beyonce earlier today revealed the album cover and tracklist to accompany the film and it caught us by surprise.
Titled The Lion King: The Gift, the 14 track album features some of favourite African artists such as; Wizkid, Burna Boy, Shatta Wale, Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Busiswa (South Africa), Salatiel (Cameroon) and more.
Other artists featured on the album include; Wale, Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar and more plus Blue-Ivy who makes a guest appearance on a track alongside Beyonce and Wizkid..
Speaking on the album which is separate to the official Lion King Soundtrack, Beyonce said “It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me.”
The Lion King: The Gift drops on the 19th July.
