Day 3: Lunch @saldunabeach where I had coquinas (tiny clams) for the very first time, cooked in oloroso (sherry) and garlic. We also shared some boquerones fritos (deep-fried anchovies), tomato salad, and a sea bass ceviche. After lunch, we attempted to swim but the shore was so rocky with both small sharp pebbles and large smooth rocks that it was an effort to get past the shallow bits without any water shoes. We left early and headed back to the hotel for a refreshing dip in the pool instead. .
