Fiesta MMBC Signup: Your Bachelorette, Rules, Etc.

Welcome to what will be the 5th MMBC of mine! This is a silly little MMBC that started after wanting to make a gijinka of my old Ford Fiesta that bit the dust almost two years ago. The Blue family is based off of the two Escapes I’ve had since. That said, contestants will need to be gijinkas of cars. More on that in the rules.

The Rules of this MMBC

This challenge is restricted to berry/colorful sims based on cars. You read that right. Pick a car and make a sim based off of it! Make your own, pick one you like, what have you.

That said, any social standing can apply, so the challenge is not limited to royalty or nobility.

Any gender can apply!

No occults, however.

Do not use the Unlucky or Loser traits per the MMBC rules.

Additional House Rule: Do not use the Ins*ne/Unconventional, Unstable/Panicky, or any of the “shit” traits. AKA, “EAxis tried and failed to accurately represent mental illness” traits.

I have all EPs and SPs installed for this MMBC!

Store content can be used, but that’s your judgement call. I do have the Palace of Versailles set, and I think I’ll be picking up these TSM conversions for the challenge.

Limit CC use. It’s your call, but try not to be excessive. A good rule of thumb is hair/makeup and everyday clothes.

We do not have to be mutuals for you to apply!

If you’ve participated in any of my MMBCs or signed up for Maple, you can still apply!

The most important part: Being okay with your sim dying or being the murderer. This is a murder mystery after all.

I will open this MMBC with seven slots, and they will be first come first served, so send an ask or IM ASAP! If the demand is there, I will allow up to three additional slots to bring us to 10. PLEASE PROVIDE A BIO! This is the best way to get a feel how to write your character. I think I’m going to omit an interview this time around, so I would appreciate if you included any additional tips on how to write your character!

Deadline

Have your sims in by the 1st of May, which is about a month from now. The latest I’ll take sims is the 4th of May. If you need more time, or can no longer participate, please let me know! I’m hoping to make this a quick summer thing before work starts, or at the very least a summer thing before school starts again in August.

For this ask, let’s talk about Her Majesty, Sally Fiesta.

Sally’s decision to transition to a constitutional monarchy came as one of a devotion to her subjects, and of self-preservation. With her as the sole ruler and a limited extended family, it was in her best interest to let her kingdom evolve to introduce a form of self-governance by the people. (Although as we know this did not come to be.)

Even before the coup d’etat, Sally absolutely detested the Blue Empire. Rumor has it that her mother was killed by a mercenary for hire from the Emperor who was ruling at the time.

Sally once met the princess of Harmonia and was absolutely smitten with her. Unfortunately due to the distance and going ons of the kingdom, she never did get the chance to ask for her hand in marriage.

Just before the coup, Sally decided to decrease the budget and size of the military after pressure from the nobility not wanting to pay taxes for it. That decision worked out well, huh?

Of all the subjects Sally has studied, astronomy by far has been her favorite. After all, you can just look up into the sky at night and see the most beautiful of sights.

Like her father, Sally was also a benevolent monarch. Although there were times of turmoil, she would always make sure that that everyone (peasants included), were treated fairly. She even was set to agree to limit her power as the queen, as there was increasing pressure to change the country’s structure from an absolute monarchy to that of a constitutional monarchy.

But that never came to fruition.

Thus, the continuation of tragic events was set into motion. For you see, Brandy, despite her helpful appearances, had some strong connections. In her distressed state, perhaps Her Majesty nor her handmaiden paid attention to the blue flowery lace around Brandy’s neck.

The magic cast on Sally did do as they had agreed upon, but it sealed the fate of her suitors, one ending in tragedy rather than a simple departure.

Approaching the fairy, who introduced herself as Brandy, Sally told her the tragic tale of her kingdom and that she’d like to get it back.

“I hear your story,” Brandy began, “And I will grant you the powers to help restore your kingdom. However, this is on the condition you will host a series of challenges to have your suitors prove themselves, and allow anyone to participate, regardless of their social standing.”

“I agree to your terms.” Sally replied.

“Splendid!” Brandy exclaimed. “Now all that’s left is to do some spells and you’ll have all the power you need.”

Looking in the direction Deidre had indicated, Sally did observe the fairy.

“Perhaps I should ask for her assistance.” Sally said. She then began to walk over to the fairy.
