Sally Spring takes the "dis" out of disability & turns it into "inspirablity" (view & listen to the video clip to see & hear how) Sally started singing before she could speak. On her press kit it says that, "At 11 years old, she bought her
first guitar, figured out open tunings on her own and accompanied herself on a local television appearance a mere six weeks after she started playing." What it does not say is that Sally was determined to play the guitar even though many children would not have tried or wanted to get in front of an audience for that matter. Sally doesn't usually speak about it but the world can see that her left arm is half the length of most people's arms and that she has a stump for a hand. She uses this hand to play the chords & strums & picks with her right hand. (When I asked is I could write about her in my blog, which I will do in a longer post soon, she said I could since it may help other people. ) Many people say, When there's a will there's a way." I say, "when there's a dream there's a way." Sally would not let a physical difference become a DreamBuster. Sally’s latest CD charted #1 in Europe and #2 worldwide on Americana radio. To hear her amazing voice and songs come to Gas Light MacDougal Street NYC, NY this Saturday night at 7 PM.
