When Percy and Rachel finally get together, how do you think their would parents react?

I've always been of the opinion that Sally would love Rachel. Partly 'cause I feel like Sally's just the kind of parent who would approve of anyone Percy dates if they make him happy. Like, I really can't picture Percy bringing someone home and Sally not liking them??? But also on a personal level, Sally and Rachel have a lot in common. They'd totally be able to relate to each other from the whole sighted mortal perspective. I also think Sally would see a lot of her young self in Rachel because of her relationship with Poseidon. There's something there with the perachel/sallyposeidon parallels. Sighted mortal girl and a guy with godly sea powers, ya know? Except perachel is something that could actually last.

I also think Paul would like Rachel. Don't have any deep reflections on why, I just think they'd get along.

As for Rachel's patents, I don't really think they would like Percy that much, but that's not really a bad thing. I mean, Rachel's relationship with her parents isn't the best. It's something I think would make Percy a bit insecure at first, that he isn't the type of boyfriend they want for their daughter. Until Rachel would assure him that any guy her parents really wanted her to date she wouldn't be interested in. I still don't think they would hate or even actively dislike Percy. I mean, we don't really get to know Rachel's mom at all, but the impression I got from her dad in the books was that while Percy wasn't the ideal friend he'd choose for his daughter, he was still glad that she had made a friend that she was growing really close to, and I think it would be the same if they were dating. Like with the whole trip in The Last Olympian, I think Rachel would agree to go on events and parties and stuff if Percy could be her date. So her dad would agree, and Rachel and Percy would go on these fancy events together and have a lot of fun. And even though they wouldn't be the best behaved, Mr. Dare would be like Eh, at least she's here and not locked in her room painting, so he's fine with it. Don't ever leave them alone in a room, though! Mr. Dare and Percy definitely don't have anything in common, so they would not know what to talk about and it would get awkward really fast.

As for Poseidon, I mean, he would definitely prefer Percy dating Rachel over Annabeth, since he doesn't have a feud with her mom lol. Also I think because of the whole perachel/sallyposeidon parallels he'd probably have a soft spot for their relationship.
