@salmonidparty ( Webber ) ♥’d for a starter!
“Hey, kid? Can I ask you something?”
Today, Willow woke up feeling curious. Experimental, even! And for once, she didn’t seem too focused on playing around with fire.
No, no: today, she started thinking about animals, for a change, perhaps with the idea of actually managing to sneak a new one in the camp after Glommer’s premature demise. Rest in peace, little bugger. Or in pieces, even. Spending the entire day trying to call over a Catcoon and a red bird, both with terrible results, she even started to focus on spiders. She didn’t like them one bit, but maybe having some on their side might help out? Silk and glands for everyone, and less troubles with their queen! Webber proved that even those eight legged freaks could be cute after all, so it’s worth a shot... and asking the local spider expert could aid her in her quest to get a new pet!
“From one to ten, how many chances to I have to get a baby spider? Ignoring the fact that I tried to burn down their nest a few days ago. Be honest.”
"Hey, Wendy!" Webber called, his excitement high, "We were gonna go look around the graveyard for cool loot!" the boy grinned, "Do you wanna come too?" -- @salmonidparty
The bereaved blinked unemotive eyes to the ring of flowers in her hands. A jumble of purple, red and white half woven into some semblance of a flower crown that she had been working on for the past half hour, and she would have continued to work on had she not recognized the voice that was speaking to her. Anyone else, and she might have ignored them. Or at the very least, refused depending on her mood.
She gave the question a thoughtful hum that ended in a solemn sigh and she let her hands fall down into her lap. Petals scattered out into the grass. “Might as well,” She started as she gathered herself to her feet, “We all end up in a graveyard eventually.” She swore she heard Abigail scolding her for that statement over her shoulder but she did little to acknowledge the reprimand.
At the very least, her usual somber features were replaced with a small smile. Webber always had a way with cheering her up and she guessed that’s what best friends were for, after all. She left the project behind her without a second thought to start towards the spider child, brushing off stray petals from her skirt. “It will be...nice,” She murmured and looked through blonde strands cascading over her gaze, “With you there.” She punctuated her words by stretching her smile ever so slightly and canting her head to the side.

Koa stood outside Deca Tower, clutching her Permanent Inkbrush as the hustle and bustle of Inkopolis Square passed her by. It felt like an eternity since she last set foot on a Turf War battlefield, though it had really only been a few short years since she and her old team tore through the competition and almost made a name for themselves.
A few short years of hell, but not that long nonetheless.
And here she found herself once again, hesitating on the doorstep of the great tower that housed many a friendly battle and competitive sport. It killed her inside knowing that she no longer had the strength, the courage to step foot on those stages,. She felt like she should, at the very least, be able to put her past behind her and go back to enjoying the game she’d found so many fun hours in, at least someday...
But today was not that day.
“I can’t do this.” she muttered to herself as she turned her back to the large building. Unfortunately, she didn’t realize that someone had come close enough to her to be slapped with the brush end of her weapon as she turned, their face met with the bristles the second she turned to leave...
“Oh, cod, I’m sorry!” she exclaimed when she noticed what was preventing her from moving. She then immediately removed the brush from the other’s face. moving to hold it with her other hand as to not hit them with it again. “I didn’t see you there, I just. I spaced out for a second... Are you okay?”

It was between him and a few other volunteers, and L was so glad he got chosen for this experiment. Said experiment was intriguing too, trying to make a lifeform entirely out of ink, but it made sense. The underground could only hold so many living creatures, after all. Having something that was of use and didn’t use up all those resources would be great! While he didn’t understand anything more complicated than that, it made sense in his head.
Of course, that meant L didn’t really know what he was getting into when he accepted this experiment. While that sounded like a bad idea, he was promised a much better job at the expense of some DNA and participation, and that was great!
L decided to arrive at the dome early, even if he couldn’t get inside right away. He was waiting right outside the door, leaning on a wall and looking around for literally anyone. This was a pretty important building, even being locked from the outside, so he didn’t expect anyone that didn’t work there to come through.

Stinky VC: FINALLY someone taller than me
"You can say that again!” ...It seems as if she’s using Stinky as an arm rest. How rude.
A sudden, ice cold shiver ran down the vessel’s shell, startling them awake from where they had been sleeping on the floor (the bed was, sadly, far too small for them) in their meagre little Dirtmouth home. Their one hand moved over to clutch at their chest, and they were quick to discover how their limbs were shaking; they could still feel where their other arm was supposed to be, despite the obvious absence of it.
They weren’t quite sure what had triggered such a memory in them. They just had recalled the emptiness that they had later on in life desperately wished they still had, remembered the brief feeling of pride that had swelled in them and how they had squared their shoulders upon being given their title for the first time by the king; by their father. They had remembered the hesitation, seeing their failed sibling-- no. Seeing Ghost. They had seen Ghost climbing up behind them, and they remembered how they had done nothing to help them. They remembered their thoughts at the time-- about wishing to be the only Pure Vessel. Cruel. Foolish.
Selfish. Their chest and shell burned, as did the empty space their other arm was supposed to be in. They deserved what had happened to them; every hellish second of it.
The knight sat up too suddenly, head spinning for a few seconds before they stood fully-- slower, this time.
They needed to go clear their mind.

🌴- Do you like going on vacation? Or does your boss force you to take a break?
“I’m not really a fan of your typical beach holiday, but I’m my own boss! … That is, I don’t really let myself take vacations, haha. Living in Erryton is like being on holiday all the time anyway.”
“It’s an easy-going job, what I’ve got; not everyone needs repairs or new gadgets, and most times I just get called over to help people do their online shopping or find their emails… But days off where I don’t have to run the storefront are still nice.”
🎉- What is a typical birthday celebration like for you? How do you go about celebrating other people’s birthdays?
“Birthdays were a bigger deal when I was a little girl. I would receive a mountain of presents from father, his friends, and our cousins, and he’d host a grand dinner in my honour. As a follow-up, we would usually do something of my choosing, be it going out for a quieter meal, or to see the horses, or shopping for something I hadn’t received…”
“After the incident, I withdrew to my room, and banquets were no longer an option. My father still insisted on holding gatherings, but I find them tedious. His friends aren’t my friends. Nowadays I treat myself by visiting landmarks and gardens instead. I still receive gifts, of course, but they’re much fewer than they were.”
“…oh, and for other people? I only attend parties I’m invited to, so otherwise I don’t. … Unless they’re someone special.”
