Goodies from the garden! Since I'm elbow-deep in cake orders I decided not to do a full garden. I just did a few things in pots by my deck. My strawberries are doing awesome delight being neglected. Poor little guys. Yay for food!

Cinco de Mayo

It’s Cinco de Mayo and since we’ve been in quarantine we’ve gone through a lot of the salsa that I made last fall. I’m just itching to get out in to the garden and start planting up this season’s tomatoes and peppers, but it is still way too cold right now for those tender crops, especially up here 1,500ft up in zone 5.

Amazingly, our hot peppers did better than our bell peppers last season.…

Salsa Garden, Peppers

Creating a Salsa Garden in the front flower bed has been the most rewarding experience of the summer! I am so glad we ditched the flowers for food! We still get a ton of flowers as each plant has so many blooms, then we get to top it off with amazing produce!

I am so thrilled every time I see all these tiny little peppers beginning to grow!
