The Tex-Mex flavors in this Brisket Tamale Sandwich are a mix of the richness of brisket and the traditional tamale cakes. Salsa verde, avocado, sour cream, and fresh herbs add to the flavor.
Ingredients: 1 cup shredded brisket. 6 tamale cakes. 1/2 cup salsa verde. 1/4 cup sour cream. 1 avocado, sliced. 1/4 cup diced red onions. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your sandwich press or grill. Warm the tamale cakes in the press or grill until heated through. In a small bowl, mix the shredded brisket with salsa verde. Spread sour cream on each tamale cake. Top half of the tamale cakes with the brisket mixture. Add avocado slices, diced red onions, and chopped cilantro on top. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place the remaining tamale cakes on top to form sandwiches. Grill the sandwiches in the sandwich press until golden brown and heated through. Serve hot and enjoy!
