These first few episodes where they’re dealing with urban legends are always really fun, and about as horror as spn gets. 

There’s just some guy eating a banana while working on the engine of his car that’s kind of hilarious

Some Sam character development this episode!

They’re still figuring out how to deal with ghosts and everything- they still have to use the journal as their main mode of investigation

Dean is such a bad liar- does he even know how bad of a liar he is???

Saving people & hunting things!

It’s interesting, Dean gives Sam an out throughout this entire season, and he never takes it but he never gives himself one.
