Hey Blizzard enough with the nerfs! Let’s start buffing Mercy with a few good in-game voicelines:

When Genji/Tracer/Doomfist runs on ahead and is now at critical health and spamming for heals: I cannot heal you when you run off by yourself!

When the Widowmaker that has gotten herself up onto a high ledge out of sight (and Mercy’s ability to fly to her by locking on) has tangentially been shot at enough to be missing half her health: Come to the ledge!

When you die bc your teammates were too concerned with their own affairs mid-battle to shield you, but now they’re dying so they need healing: I am on my way/Find a Healthpack

When the Genji is spamming ‘I need healing’ and jumping all over the map but is missing only like 1 HP: You’re fine, stop being a baby.

When the dps that is spamming for healing when you’re healing them: “I’M PATCHING YOU UP, ASSHOLE, OPEN YOUR EYES AND EARS”

What's worse than Genji spamming "need healing"? Genji spamming "need healing" while they've very clearly been splashed with Ana's biotic grenade. You CAN'T be healed, shut up.

Teammate: If Mercy had just stayed alive there...

Me: Oh sorry let me magically get more hp

Teammate: just try to survive

Going on an Overwatch support/healer rant here: One of my pet peeves is when people choose their healer (usually not Mercy) and someone on their team will say “Hey can you change to [character]?” Usually it isn’t a problem because that person may be a support main player. But some are forced into the support role because no one else chose the role and they happen to know how to play one support decently/really well. This happened to me. I main defense and tank (Junkrat and Dva, a few others) and I can play Zenyatta if need be. I can TRY Lucio but I’m not nearly as good at him as Zenyatta. I’m trying to be a good teammate and take the healer role as Zenyatta and someone goes and says “Can you play a different healer? Who else can you play?” “Lucio but I’m pretty bad at him.” “I wasn’t very good at him when I started either but you be the change this world needs.” “So I can be a bad healer.” Compared to my decent Zenyatta. “Understood.” Immediately I switch to Junkrat and say “If you’re going to be so picky, you be healer.” So they switch to Lucio. By this point I’m just so pissed and my group over Discord is just flabbergasted over the whole situation and think it’s bullshit that someone would think it would be a good idea for a person to use a healer they’re not good at in quick play.

DON’T DO THIS. IF SOMEONE IS UNCOMFORTABLE WITH A CHARACTER, DON’T TRY TO FORCE THEM INTO PLAYING THAT CHARACTER. ANY ROLE; HEALER, TANK, OFFENCE, DEFENSE, IT DOESN’T MATTER. A PERSON KNOWS WHAT THEY’RE GOOD AT, YOU DON’T.
