“Oh, look at you! There is room for improvement, but I like what I see. You’re obviously working your fashion to fit your figure, hmm?”
“With a little make-up, you’ll look dazzling, dear. Ah -- how quickly I forget small talk manners. I’m Sonya. And you are?”

✦ — ❝ O-Of course ! Give me some credit, yeah ? Er... at least a little. ❞
He beamed, albeit with a sheepish smile-- he still felt like he was leagues behind Clair in terms of high society even with his true lineage revealed. No matter his position, he grew up a farm boy, and that was what stuck with him.
After a firm shake, he lets go but he keeps his gaze steady on the pegasus knight.
❝ I had a great teacher in you, after all. Unless you'd like to dig yourself a hole ? ❞

“There’s no shame in admitting that you’re having a hard time, Clair.”
“Experience did not come to me in a fortnight, you know. I had to depend on others to bear the burdens with me. I would happily be the strength you need.”
@salutationknight liked for a PKMN verse starter!
“Dragon-type Pokémon know how to fly too~! C’mon out, Salamence!” A push of a button and out came the fearsome Dragon Pokémon. Despite its rather stocky appearance, its heartfelt desire to fly high as a Bagon had caused this miraculous transformation, enabling it to soar into the skies with its fellow dragon brethren.
“Isn’t he adorable~?” Nino cooed at him.
“Last I checked, ladies didn’t stare.”
Though he had pointed it out, Fernand did not truly mind the way the pegasus knight looked at him: it was understandable, given the circumstances. His words lacked a hard edge to them, though even if had meant ill, he was still too tired to make any real fuss right then.
“I trust that you’ve been fairing well?” It was a ridiculous question, what with the continent being at war and now the situation with Duma. Even more so with this being their first conversation since his being at death’s door. “It’s been a while.” In all honesty, he hoped Clair would jump in with her usual tenacity, and somehow break the tension.

it’s so easy to miss because on a casual glance he’s Mr Duty McGoodMan but some of his bonus conversations/Bad Gameplay responses are so GOOD
they are!!! i’ve said it before but a pretty good way of describing how clive sees himself with the deliverance is i really dont think clive sees himself as an individual person when it comes to the deliverance, he’s more a representative of these ideals that he has to hold up, so when you see that crack in personal ways ( i.e. failing to save mathilda ) it really shows the stress he’s under
it also doesnt help that he straight up says in his lvl 40 dialogue that ‘these are things i cannot tell other people’ like he doesnt want to burden anyone with his feelings despite having his fiance and his younger sister in the army with him
salutationknight replied to your post: thank you fire emblem heroes for confirming my hc...
clive is secretly such a great multi-dimensional character between that & his reaction if alm fails to save mathilda tbh
he is!!! clive is idealistic to a fault and takes on too much responsibility and is a ridiculously flawed character and that is not a bad thing!!!! GOD I LOVE IT I LOVE CLIVE
