Yesterday marked the 25 yr anniversary of Del’s No Need For Alarm. I worked on this record in several capacities. I was the A and R guy , the executive producer with Domino and I produced Boo Boo Heads and Treats For The Kiddies. Love Del and my Hiero fam were still tight took me to the premier of mid 90s a weeks ago and we drove around bumping music after. He’s a great cat as is Domino one of my best friends in the world. I rock with Hiero thats my bay area family always will be. Mad history with the fellas seen em go from teenagers to men with kids and all that. Been an honor. This record was such a departure from I Wish My Brother George was here. It was also a landmark record in terms of rapping. Del really really raps his ass off on this record. I listened to the whole record a few times yesterday it holds up and then some. Catch a Bad One might be my favorite Del song ever. Boo Boo Heads remains one of the few records I produced that I dont hear any thing on that makes me cringe. Really enjoyed working with Del he’s like a brother to me. 25 years later were still rocking who would have thunk it? #SaluteDel #SaluteHiero #SD50s (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/BqkrJyghLBl/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1i478q2abipnx
