The crew spent about a week carefully disassembling a carriage house built in the 1890’s, salvaging every useable piece for our lumber yard inventory. Come check out all the lumber, siding, vintage pieces and more before it’s gone! More inventory added daily. Carriage house history: Located in Steward, Illinois and believed to have been built in the 1890’s by one of the Titus brothers, among Illinois’ wealthiest business owners at the time. The Titus brothers were successful farmers, property owners, railroad investors, lumber purveyors and local bankers among their other many ventures. Features 2”x balloon framing with an original cedar shake roof layered over at some point with corrugated steel. A little after & before... installed some of our pipe & oak shelves to replace that old wire rack in the upstairs bar at #barsiena. We stuck the old shelf stock up as well as some extra glasses just to see what it'd look like when we finished, but they've since made it look quite nice with some added decor and candles staggered throughout.
