i’ve been seein a lot of criticism of harry potter books / jk rowling lately and it’s honestly so ANNOYING. like. yall. of COURSE harry and other children are the ones fighting monsters and going into the forbidden forest and facing near death experiences .... they are CHILDRENs books, a lot of that stuff is common tropes that happen in CHILDRENs books! its not that hogwarts was a terrible dangerous place where all the adults were incompetent, its that CHILDREN do fantastical, outrageous, brave things in CHILDRENs books because they are FOR CHILDREN and kids want to read books about other kids! like... CHILDREN go into literal battle in tons of other CHILDRENS BOOKS so yall can seriously chill out.
