GARF FACT / weird gripe I have with garfield

So one weird change I don’t understand was how in the comic book “Garfield’s nine lives” there’s this segment about Garfield being a detective and trying to solve a crime, in this life he is named Sam Spayed . Which is funny. Cus female cats get spayed so Garfield trans canon?!! I actually think there was a joke abt that in the book which I can’t remember but that’s not the point. The point is in the book the artstyle made everyone into cats. Kinda creepy looking but still cats

Which like, makes some scenes weird. Idk. I jusy wonder why they did this cus they literally could’ve made some more cat characters ? It’s not that hard they’ve made and animated a lot of other female cat characters this could’ve easily been my favorite Garfield special but it just was such a weird change I don’t really know
