Today I'm pondering what the ride to the station was like the day Jack got arrested
Did he sit in the back silently, burning holes in the back of Sam’s head with his gaze, seething with rage?
Did he make cordial small talk with Sam, knowing the visceral disgust it would cause him that Jack could converse so normally after what he had done? Was it interspersed with spitting venom when Jack could no longer hold his rage behind clenched teeth?
Did he threaten Sam and his family, fill his head with graphic details of all the lives taken by his hand, knowing Sam could do nothing but listen the whole way there?
Rating Headcanons from the CHG for Jack Frost MKS Characters 2
Sheriff Tiler
Probably a nervous habit he'd get after the two films, thanks Jack. 10/10
He's not machismo about it or anything but he doesn't like people seeing it when it happens, it's embarassing 9/10
This aligns so well with how I see the Jack Frost duology as a whole, beautiful. 10/10
....not anymore 0/10 💀
He's just so earnest, he clearly tries multiple times to spare people's feelings. It works best on children and Jack bc they have similar brains 7/10
I love the way characters are written so three dimensionally in JF
The Tilers are beloved protagonists who are very openly affected by their trauma but still know how to let loose and have fun, they're genuinely great parents, the original gentle parenters actually. Sam and Anne are such a power couple.
Sheriff Tiler is hands down one of the best cops in fiction, not necessarily like the best at what a cop is supposed to be but the most moral within his role that I've personally witnessed. He's down to earth and really cares about the people in town even when they're being huge dicks but the films aren't afraid to show him when he's pushed to his limits.
Anne is everything a mom would want to be I think, she's warm and kind but stern and ready to rise to the occasion at a moments notice. Funny too! There's a bit of crazy lying under the surface when the people she cares about are in danger, even if she didn't want to believe Jack had returned at first she fought like hell.
