Does your Goat go by any other name than The Goat? If so, what?
- They also go by Samael to close friends and their God of Life! Flock members will also refer to them as Leader, and the elders will sometimes call them a shithead in private.
Is your Goat's lore similar to the Lamb? (I.e. hunted down and sacrificed)
- Similar, but not quite the same. Samael lived in a very tight-knit village. Everyone knew everyone and neighbors were considered family. Samael and their family [wife and child] lived there in relative peace with the others. Their village was raided by heretics and Samael helped fight them off the best they could, but in the end they were the last standing and took an axe to the back as a final blow.
How old was your Goat pre-crown?
- They were in their early 30’s.
Did your Goat have any specific skills prior to getting the crown?
- Samael was, and still is, a skilled hunter/gatherer. They were always good with their hands and good at easing tensions with comedy.
- Having had a kid, they were always pretty good with caring for children.
Does your Goat have any noticeable features?
- They have a good amount of scarring. There’s a large gash on their ribcage, a few on their arms, and a giant X on their back from their killing blow.
- After becoming a vessel for Asha, a few features slowly started changing - teeth became sharp, tongue a few inches longer, and they gained more strength.
- They also have a snake tattoo that can move, given to them by Asha. It can’t speak, but it’ll move around their skin and interact with them. Asha gave it to them when Sam mentioned feeling lonely at the start of their vesselhood, a very rare moment of weakness for the Goat.
How tall is your Goat?
- About 6’4!
Is your Goat petite, curvy, jacked?
- I’d say they’re a mix between curvy and jacked. They’ve got a good bit of chub to them but they could also benchpress a fucking house if asked. Vesselhood really amped up their strength.
What does your Goat identify as? Were they born differently than what they identify as? Do they lean a certain way? (Masc, fem, they honestly don't care they just go with the flow?)
- The Goat is AMAB, tending to go by they/them pronouns typically. They won’t correct someone if they use he/him, though. They’re very masculine leaning!
What kind of hair does your Goat have? (Is it soft? How much do they have?)
- Their hair looks like it would be rather rough to the touch, but it’s actually pretty soft [if they wash if first]!
Do they use their hair for anything?
- Not really! They’ve noticed one of their bird spouses pocketing loose strands before, but never said anything. They can do what they like.
Is your Goat a specific species?
- No! They’re just.. Goat shaped.
What do their horns look like?
- Before vesselhood, they were smaller and straighter, like a Bilberry goat’s, but now they curl back on themselves, like a snake, almost.
How chaotic is your Goat? Are they constantly looking to mess with someone or something?
- They’re pretty chaotic when they’re feeling off. The Goat can rather calm and put together, if not a little flirty, but sometimes, they get a little stir crazy when they’re left by themselves for a long while.
Is the crown just a crown when not in use? Does it shape into something else? (I.e. hair tie, bracelet, necklace?)
- Usually, Samael keeps the Crown as a leather glove on their right hand. It’s close by and they can react faster when they should need it. Otherwise it takes the shape of a wrap around one of their horns, or a large staff with a bell on it [they only use this to ring for meals or to get attention- easier than yelling]. They were influenced by the Lamb / Shepherd for both the fabric on the horn and the staff.
Does your goat wear something other than the canon cloak?
- They wear their own fleece - it’s lopsided, hanging off one shoulder and covering their left arm completely. Fully because they think it looks cool. They also wear loose baggy pants.
Does your Goat wear jewelry or makeup?
- Not necessarily jewelry, but they do wear a small line of bells that hang off their waist; one bell for each spouse. There are currently four bells.
Does your Goat have facial hair? ( a goatee? lol)
- Yes! They have a pretty decent sized beard that goes all the way around their jaw.
Is your Goat flirtatious?
- They have 3 spouses [+honorary], what do you think?
How floppy are your goats ears?
- Not that floppy, actually! They’re pretty big, but they’re kind of stiff. Probably about a 6/10.
What's your goats favorite weapon? Least favorite?
- Their preferred weapon of choice? Axes. Or gauntlets. They love big showy weapons. Least favorite? Daggers. Absolutely despises them.
Does your Goat have a favorite curse?
- The Goat is more adept at using their power and curses than The Lamb is. Their favorite is any of the ones that summons tentacles. They’re so fun to watch rip heretics apart.
Do they have a favorite color?
- They wouldn’t admit, but yellow. It was the color of their daughter’s favorite dress.
What's your Goat's favorite season?
- They love fall, especially when the leaves are turning yellow.
How good of a cook is your Goat? Would they feed the cult members negative foods (i.e. bowl of poop or follower meat) behind the Lambs back?
- They’re actually a really good cook! When they’re with the Lamb [not often], they won’t let the Goat cook. They misread an ingredient and poisoned a few of their flock (on accident!).
Does your Goat have a favorite dish?
- Roasted cauliflower used to be their favorite before vesselhood, and they like to think it’s still their favorite even though their diet now consists of meats as well.
What's your Goat's diet? (Vegetarian, omnivore, carnivore?)
- Pre-vesselhood, they were a vegetarian, but after gaining bits of Asha’s power, they now crave meats. Mostly fish.
How was your Goat introduced to the Lamb? (accidental summoning, they just showed up, etc.)
- Having a proficiency for magic isn’t always a good thing. Samael got cocky and tried to make their own ritual to make it rain, and ended up accidentally dimension hopping into the Lamb’s world.
What's the relationship between you Goat and Lamb?
- It was very strained at first. Samael was everything the Lamb was not; and they struggled to get along. Finally though, after a few depressing nights, the two had a heart to heart and noticed just how similar they’d been.
- Samael now makes regular visits to see their Shepherd, and has proposed to them on numerous occasions. They always say no, though they will share a bed to rest together. Being alone constantly isn’t good.
Does your Goat have a specific purpose of being around the Lamb? (They were summoned to protect, they have a secrete motive to help the lamb, etc)
- At first, no. Samael mainly goes to visit as a friend, now. They’ve grown very very close, and will go on crusades together. It’s always funny when Samael gets to see the Lamb’s The One Who Waits. He gets angry really quickly at them.
Do they have a favorite cult member? Least favorite?
- They don’t necessarily have any least favorites. Samael wouldn’t keep someone around they don’t like. Their favorites would have to be either Jaili, their first spouse, a fluffy white cat, or May, one of their disciples, a feisty barn owl who doesn’t take shit from anyone.
Do they ever leave to do crusades on their own? Do they only go with the Lamb?
- Samael has their own cult! They routinely go on their own, and sometimes with their Lamb! If not just to bug them.
How does your Goat deal with spies?
- They lets their disciples deal with them. Whether they die or get kicked out depends on who finds them first: Paion or May.
How do they deal with dissenters?
- Pillory and re-teaching, usually. If that doesn’t work, they’ll be kicked out. They don’t often use the sacrificial ritual.
Do they have their own place in the cult? (Do they live with the Lamb? Do they sleep wherever?
- In their own cult, they sleep in a spare room in the temple, sometimes by themselves, sometimes with a spouse. When they’re visiting the Lamb, Samael tends to just sleep with them. They enjoy the company.
Do they have a specific job in the cult? Do they just help out the Lamb? Are they an equal leader with the Lamb?
- In their own, they’re the Leader, of course. In the Lamb’s, it takes a long while to gain the trust of their flock [especially their damned disciple], but they eventually view the Goat as an almost equal.
How does your Goat feel about the Bishops? What about Narinder/The One Who Waits (TOWW)?
- Samael met the Lamb’s The One Who Waits a small handful of times. There was a lot of confusion when they died in the Lamb’s world the first time. They think it’s funny how angry he gets at them.
Does your Goat ever open up about their past? With who?
- With the Lamb, and Asha. They can get really depressed at times, and when that happens, they’ll either leave to see the Lamb or Asha for a few days, leaving their disciples in charge.
Is your Goat trustworthy? Are they only trustworthy to specific people? Who?
- While chaotic, they’re very trustworthy.
Is your Goat manipulative? Can they convince the Lamb, a Bishop, or a cult member to do something they wouldn't normally do?
- I wouldn’t say manipulative, but they can get a bit pushy when they want something.
What's your Goat's opinion on cannibalism?
- As the vessel of Life & Rebirth, they won’t. They don’t allow it in their cult. Life and death are sacred to them. There was also a time as a child they were forced to eat scraps of another person - it left them with very heavy lingering feelings about the topic.
How merciful is your Goat?
- It depends on what they’re being merciful for. A mistake made by a flock member? Sure, that can be forgiven.
- Mercy towards a repenting heretic? Probably not. They rarely accept ex-witnesses into the cult, even.
Is there a job your goat likes doing specifically?
- Other than crusading? Cooking. They find it peaceful, and they enjoy providing for their flock.
What's your Goat's stance on torture?
- Depends on what the crime was and what type of torture. They’re not against it.
Would they kill a cult member? Do they need a reason to do so?
- They have before; a dissenter who was going rampant. They don’t enjoy murdering those who were from their own flock, but… it has to be done sometimes.
Would they go behind the Lamb's back to do something if the Lamb ruled against it?
- They have a whole lot of respect for the Lamb. If it was a serious thing, they wouldn’t. But if it was just something small and they wouldn’t get in trouble too badly? Hell yeah.
Does your Goat and their crown get along? What kind of relationship do they have with it?
- The Goat and the Purple Crown are familiar with one another. Samael can tell it gets annoyed with them, and it doesn’t prefer to be used in the way that it does, but it puts up with them. Samael does let it go about its way when they’re alone, letting it rest as a Crown in the solitude.
Like with the Lamb and TOWW, is there a God behind the crown?
- The One Who Waits is a different deity in their world. Asha is the God of Life, who was chained up for interfering with the Bishops want for more power. Locking up the God of Life had a lot of bad effects on the world, throwing a big ass power imbalance on people and Samael was chosen to slay the Bishops to free Asha.
How stealthy is your Goat? Can they hide even from the Red Crown? Are they clumsy?
- They aren’t very stealthy. At all. They’re a giant 6’4 goatman; and a loud one at that. Samael prefers to run headfirst into danger and cut through their issues quickly.
What is your Goat like around the young cult members? Do they teach them how to mess with other cult members? Are they actually good at taking care of the them? Do they not like being around the young cult members?
- Having been a father themself at one point, Samael loves kids. At first it was difficult to be around them, but they soon warmed up to them. They love leading bonfires and letting the kids sing their own songs.
Freebie! Tell us a head cannon about your Goat!
- Samael prefers to run their cult more like a large family. There’s no specifically assigned jobs unless it’s for punishment. As long as everything gets done, they don’t care who does what. All the children born in the cult are taken care of by every adult.
- The bell on their shawl, like the Lamb’s, will only ring at the notion of death in their cult.
- The Goat was the one to bring the twins to Asha. They were twin lambs born sickly in their cult, and they were about to die.
