Ok hmm.. Ginny Lives Au. Where Imu shows mu's Possesiveness for Dragon, bc Dragon cares more for Bonney and Ginny than Imu?
“Insects. Always with the insects.”
Mr. Shadow’s fingers tap against their chair and more than ever, Ginny is simply aware of how said fingers are tipped with claws. Especially when said claws begin to scrap instead of tap, grinding at the solid stone.
At least Bonney isn’t here. Facing what seems to be rage about to boil over in a slave master with a baby is the absolute last challenge Ginny wants to take on.
“Beloved, it is a waste of your time, to spend so much of it doting on mere insects.” So spend it with me, is what isn’t said and what everyone in the room knows lies underneath that complaint.
A clawed hand creeps over to Dragon’s own hand, gripping it tightly.
“They will not last. Not like you and mu will.”
Slowly, carefully, he peels his hand free. Red eyes narrow, and the slight release of upset Conqueror’s Haki from Dragon’s action causes Ginny to flinch. Her heart rabbits, before she forces it to calm again. Best not to be noticed in the middle of this mess. Dragon can handle it.
(As much as anyone can handle the attention of Mr. Shadow.)
“Imu. You could do anything with the resources you have at your fingertips. You have the power to order Saturn to find a cure for Sapphire Scales. But you don’t.” Dragon bravely meets the red eyes looking at him head-on. “Why?”
“Are you not listening, Beloved? They will not last.” A casual hand waved through the air, like it’s not entire lives it’s in the process of dismissing. “To find a so-called cure only prolongs the inevitable. Death comes for all that lies outside of Imu’s purview, outside of Imu’s kingdom.”
“If that’s your argument, why bother spending time with me?” Fingers go up to rub against the collar he wears, so much fancier than Ginny’s own but even more of a cage than hers. That’s what Ginny would argue, at least.
Because among Celestial Dragons, prettier is worse.
“I am as mortal as the ‘insects’ you scorn, and as mortal as the Nobles you lift above the rest.”Steady, so very steady, as the leader of the Revolutionary Army tells to the tyrant of the world’s face that, “You’re wasting your time.”
