I'm adding this MC to my favorite MC.

I'm head over heels over Samara, yet, but she's irresistible I enjoy teasing her.

Theory time..

I've already mention this on reddit so I'll repeat it here. I think Rowan is still alive, I think she was a double agent/a mole inside GAIA that gains MC's trust. Rowan fake her own death. I think her gesture fiddling with her necklace is a signal for enemy/target to perform their last stunt. I think the switching happen the moment MC turn to look at the Target, I don't think it's Rowan's body who died, I think it's someone else wearing Rowan's mask. I think Rowan will come back later as villain like Mike from ES.
