one of the struggles of being a samdamien shipper is that a lot of the most fun stuff to do with them involves pulling out and magnifying Sam's negative impulses that are present but restrained in canon, while also emphasizing Damien's pathetic nature—digging into her worst traits and, if not his best, at least his most sympathetic and pitiable. so you run the risk of villainizing a woman for the sake of woobifying a man, or at least appearing to be doing so. I need a banner that reads "I LIKE HER SHE'S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER" to run across the top of all of my fics.
