    Just as every other city, it would have its ups and its downs. While Tezuka couldn’t say he had experience with being kidnapped by scientists and placed in a strange location, he had certainly been privy to other ‘unbelievable’ events in his life. Every reflective surface he walked by was observed from the corner of his eye until he could look no more - suspicion was not so easy to quell.

And old habits were hard to kill. Always on guard, it gave him an advantage in a wide variety of fights - both against Mirror World Monsters and something as mundane as petty pocket-pickers. Perhaps he used too much force to disarm the man’s knife, twisting his wrist and easily pushing him against the wall.

“Find a new path,” he advised him, watching him scurry off. There was nothing more he could do to encourage the stranger to change his own destiny, and quite frankly he wasn’t even sure he wanted to go to the effort. It was not his business to chase his customers down and ensure they were making all the right choices - that was their own autonomy.

Tezuka’s senses prickled as he felt another presence behind him, and he acted purely on instinct, spinning around to grab the man’s wrist - also prepared to disarm him. Only to find a stranger that sent off all sort of bells in his mind. This man was important, no doubt. “My apologies,” he slowly withdrew his hand.
