That one ask makes me wonder if Clover was MEANT to be mixed/asian-coded, but MKEK half-assed it. If thats the case, though, that means they gave their asian AND queercoded character the most gruesome death in series. Which is on brand but stillll… yikes. 😬

So many characters in RWBY are just slapped cultures together with no rhyme or reason and Clover is only a minor victim of that. Just look at Blake, who has 50 different countries slapped onto her.
