I think it’s bc systems on tumblr don’t actually want to accept the medical terminology of integration bc that would mean accepting that MAYBE psychiatry can be bullshit sometimes.
we understand that having words to explain your experience of the world is important. we just get bothered when for some things some words are suddenly declared off limits unless you have this or that. system doesn't even unilaterally belong to DID. system can mean a LOT of things in a LOT of different contexts. and when it comes to calling psychiatry bullshit there are a lot of terms we refuse to use that are therapeutic terms but we also acknowledge that WE aren't using accepted terms and why. we're not just saying those terms don't mean what they mean.
