Talked with an irl who’s a casual f1 fan about the championship and he told me:

“Ever since Lando won Miami last year I already had a feeling he was gonna get the wdc soon”

And like idk that just warmed my heart because the only reason people think Lando is so hated and undeserving of the wdc is because they’re stuck in their own little bubbles in social media, where Lando hate gets you hit tweets and views when actual IRL fans of the sport generally do not care for things like that and can recognize when someone is talented !!

Mind you he’s a merc fan that has liked George and Lewis for years!! He’s worn some merc merch in uni and he never once spouted hate towards Lando and often complimented him on his drives !!

I have excellent news.

I have finally been promoted to full Lieutenant.

The promotion came with the title of Assistant first science officer, which I am very pleased about. And I am fairly certain that would mean me spending more time on the bridge rather than being stuck down in the labs or running reports back and forth between decks.

Although, I suppose that means that now i have to find another way to get my required daily steps... Perhaps I could begin a search for a walking belt of some kind for free time walking, and I believe one of the ensigns have picked something of that sort at one of the last Starbases we were docked at recently.

I had thought the move from the basic crew's quarters to officer's quarters would be a welcome change of pace, some quiet away from the ensigns...... But now as I get my thoughts out in my solo quarters, I find myself, reaching.... waiting, listening for my compatriots walking by...... my friends.....

*Soft sounds of sniffling can be heard on the tape recording before a sudden clearing of a throat*

STORY TIME !!!

So me and my circle of friends in uni were talking about what we find attractive on people (in general) and most ppl in our circle said “biceps” but me personally I don’t find it that attractive (don’t hate me pls 😣) so I said “who cares about biceps anyways 😒” like playfully rage baiting them yk !!

BUT THEN MY IRL SUDDENLY SAID “you only think that just cause Lando doesn’t have any since he’s small” AND I WAS GAGGED CAUSE HE WAS RIGHT 😭😭 THIS MAN JUST CALLED LANDO A TWINK IN FRONT OF ME 😭😭😭

I genuinely let out a gasp dudee all I could reply was “oh my god ur right wtf do I reply to that 😭🙏” and he bursted out laughing but then proceeded to say that lando being small isn’t bad and that he was just teasing

before anyone gets upset our friends specifically talked about big biceps and whether we like it or not Lando does NOT have those big biceps other ppl thirst over him for likee let’s all be honest with ourselves 🙏

Excellent question, there is quite a reason.

I am only half Vulcan. My father, Joseph Benson, is a human.

He's where I get my red hair from, and he introduced me to the culture surrounding the 20th and 21st centuries, as he is an archivist of that time period from before the war. He also worked as bartender for many years surrounding my birth before eventually picking up the Benson family tradition of archival work.

Since we're discussing my father, I should mention my other two parents as well.

My birth mother, T'Laal, was the one that I shared my Vulcan heritage with, as well as my brown eyes. She was extremely talented at playing the harp, and she adored terran lepidoptera so she became something of a specialist in that field.

I can still pluck out a few chords on the instrument when the chance arises, and I am quite adept at listing taxonomy due to her lessons.

My bonus mother, Nera, is an event planner for a few high society people across the federation, mainly doing weddings, but she has been known to dabble in other events. She is the one that I call Mother in my personal logs when I find time to do them. And she is the birth mother of my sole sibling.
