✁ -Marin, Sami
…CALM DOWN SATAN
WELL IF YOU WANT TO KNOW I THINK IT WOULD BE MORE POSSIBLE THAT SHE KILLED SAMI OUT OF MERCY
IF THERE WAS SOME FATAL WOUND OR SOMETHING AND THERE WASN’T ANYTHING TO DO ABOUT IT? AFTER A WAR??? YEAH
In Ivy's dream, things start out calm and peaceful and simple, but soon warp into something strange and terrifying. She hears Sami's voice, calling out to her; it's split into two. One's begging for help, for Ivy to save her, but the other is screaming for her not to listen and to run. The world around her warps into a giant hedge maze with Sami's voice emanating from down the two available paths. She hears a pig grunt behind her- she has to choose a path, and fast.
(OKAY NO, THIS IS WAY WORSE. SHE WOULD GO MAD FROM THE INABILITY TO DECIDE AAAAH FRICKING PIGS)
"Oh, Kirena! I found another one with your name on it." Sami hands Kirena another books. [You got an FF+ Shinon.]
(You are forgiven heck ye)
Kirena let out a groan, taking the book from her."If this is half as bad as that last one I'm never going to trust another book you give me." She murmured, opening to a random page.
His fingers traced along her side, sending a ripple though her, his lips pressing against hers more gently than she expected.
She was first to break the kiss, her lungs begging for air.
He moved, and rather than start with her clothes, he reached up, and pulled out her ties, letting her long hair fall down her back.
His green eyes traced her, and gently, he smoothed it out, running his fingers through her silken threads. A thin smile crossed his face, as he leaned in, inhaling deeply.
Then, slowly, the red headed archer brought his hands to her shirt and-
Kirena closed the book then, a heavy blush on her face. She felt at her holsters, and found that she had thankfully neglected to carry a tome today. She slipped the book in place, and rubbed the back of her head.
"Ok, fine, this one could be good. I'll have to read it later tonight."
☯ + Sami's arrival at the Midmire?
How could everything have gone wrong so quickly? What could I have done better?
Elysia continued to ask herself these doubting questions. No matter the circumstances, the blood was on her hands. She'd been trusted to see a path to Emmeryn's safety and she had failed. Chrom was taking it worst of all, and Elysia felt useless to console him. The best she'd done was snap him out of the worst of his depression and into a combat-capable focus.
Basilio had given the order to retreat, which itself felt awful, but even she'd recognized they were in a bad way. Worse, now they were in a mire, dealing with what remained of Gangrel's army. The soldiers seemed to fight, not from bloodlust, but for some other reason. Chrom was barely able to reason. Blind emotion was driving his blade, and he was cutting down anyone he didn't immediately recognize.
Most of the enemy wore the Plegian colors, which made it easier to tell who was who, but one of them seemed... different. Not to mention the Plegians didn't employ many pegasus riders. Whoever it was, Chrom's path of righteous fury was cutting its way toward her.
"Hey! You there!" Elysia shouted. "Stand down and rise up, quickly!!" She started over towards the newcomer, hoping she would hear, and heed her words before Chrom arrived. If she were Plegian, she wouldn't listen. But if she weren't, she could at least remove herself from immediate danger.
It took a moment but the newcomer seemed to respond. Maybe they were here to help? Another unexpected ally in this dark time was always welcome.
FRIENDLY REMINDER THAT NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE'S OF IVY'S DEATH SAMI WILL ALWAYS BLAME HERSELF
(THAT'S NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL)
"Kirena, I... I found this. I-it had your name in it, so I didn't read it..." She hands her an ff+ Chrom. (oh shit--)
(SNOWI WHY)
Kirena blinked, noting the brand on the book.
"That's...odd. Alright, let me see..."
She flicked the book open and read for a moment, noting her friend running off, only wondering faintly where she was off to in such a hurry.
The prince held himself over her, blushing furiously, Falchion and Libertas discarded nearby, both dropped after the young lord had tripped.
His eyes were locked on the blonde's and he wasn't sure what it was, but something attracte-
Kirena slammed the book shut, and stared at the tome, horrified. It was another of those books.
But her and her previous commander?
Libertas cleared it's sheath, and in but a moment, she struck, severing the book's spine. It fell only a little ways, before she moved again, delivering several quick slashes, reducing the book to mere scraps.
“I-I... thought you were dead.”
Ivy couldn't help puffing her cheeks a little.
"Did you forget how good I can be with the sword again?" she said, mostly in a joking manner despite looking so apparently upset.
