So I got the doodle bug and it wouldn’t leave me alone until I tried drawing my FFXIV character, Samilen Jawantal. I used pictures taken in-game as reference.

Even with references side-views are always so hard to draw goddamn

I know we've all got Endwalkers brainrot but who does Samilen want tied up under his Starlight tree ;3c

God that is a good question, because it's hard to separate the characters that I the player love from the characters that Samilen loves (especially since he is the first and foremost main character I play). Assuming he has all the experiences and development up to and including the events of Endwalker, I could see a few people he'd love to see as a gift under the tree ;3c

X'rhun, because my wife has done a horrible (amazing) job at making me love that godsdamned catman, and red magic is one of the things Samilen canonically picks up in his time as a warrior of light. Me and Samilen both have a weakness for DILFS

Emet-Selch is quite an oddity of an attraction for a soft-spoken, gentle man like Samilen--and admittedly Endwalker has solidified a lot of these relationships--but this is one of those 'Samilen himself may not realize he has the hots at first' situations that I haven't developed a lot.

Also in general and especially after Endwalker he would just. Straight up Die(tm), like combust on the spot, if he found Estinien under that tree. There's some feelings going on here between them and I absolutely KNOW it, but they game from left field halfway through the expansion and I'm left to try and figure out what the hell to do with these feelings of his.

And his lover continues, “You, of all people, should know that Keepers are natural-born hunters. The more you run-” the sharp warning of teeth skim just over the shape of Silvairre’s ear, though it’s the warm breath and purring which pushes a moan over the trembling shape of his lips. “-the more I want to have you.”

Honestly? I don’t think I did half bad re-creating Samilen; considering how damn complicated his hairstyle is, I honestly think it was a great way to get used to how the hair painting/building works. 

As to be expected, the ears were an absolute BITCH to make and I gave up making them perfectly shaped after about half an hour, but they get the point across (and they wiggle!)

But this DOES mean that, when next I stream FFXIV, I can legit use Samilen as my stream avatar UvU

So... Samilen has a pred/prey kink?

APPARENTLY HE DOES and I am just as surprised by this revelation as everyone else.

Like, I knew he had a thing for being on the ‘chased’ side of things, but I never expected him to be so interested in being the ‘chaser’ in that sorta kink. Maybe it’s his inner feral Keeper peeking out a little 👀

We’re all learning new things about this catboy it would seem, most of which is that he does in fact have top/dom potential 👌
