Autumnal Asks: cunchy leaves, oversized sweaters, ghost stories, scented candles, and haunted hayrides.

The swoosh and crunch when you shuffle through them are fantastic. But they are full of mold and I am violently allergic to autumn leaves. So I have to admire them from afar. I do love to watch the trees change. I like to go on road trips on sunny weekend afternoons to pick apples and find good cider doughnuts.

I need new sweaters, big comfy ones I can curl up in. I have several very dainty cashmere cardigans. Good for wearing out underneath a winter coat. I need soft, warm, heavier sweaters. Our new home is a bit cold and I’m wary of janking the heat up all the time. It’s oil and that’s an industry I’d like to support as little as possible. So I’ll go poke about. Just one would be a good start and I am not stupid enough to decide to knit it. I have so many other little projects I need to get straightened out. 

I love ghost stories, especially old ones. The newer ones tend to make me either too scared or too bored (mostly scared). But I will watch old classics with popcorn and David and the cat and any friends we can rope into it. Arsenic and Old Lace this year guys?

I don’t like scented candles except for the Paddy Wax ones. The Jane Austen and EA Poe candles are nice. They make a sea salt air candle that smells like somthing but I can’t figure out what it is. But it smells clean and lovely.

I’ve never been on a haunted hayride. I might just be too old to know what they are, or have grown up in the wrong place to know what they are.
