What kind of fantasy world is Fourth Wing supposed to take place in? Is it more along the lines of post-apocalyptic? It definitely doesn't feel medieval-ish in nature (and most certainly not in dialogue).

I'm trying to place this wild Dylan that's emerged in the sample from chapter one I'm reading and get a clear sense of the clothing described and dialogue.

I need some grounding help over here.

I just designed this new tarot spread to deal with those situations when people just don't know what they're feeling-- the times when they feel overwhelmed with so many thoughts and feelings and don't even know how to answer the question "what are you feeling right now?" I'm currently going through a bit of that recently myself, but I also see this kind of confusion of feelings through my work as a therapist. I couldn't find a good spread out there that would tackle this, so I made my own. I kept it a simple three card read to not overwhelm the person even more. ::SAMPLE READING:: WHAT AM I FEELING: TWO OF PENTACLES (REVERSED) - Overwhelmed, under a lot of pressure, biting off more than they can chew. There is a definite lack of balance in the person's life and they're making a lot of poor choices because of being so overextended. WHY AM I FEELING THIS WAY: THE HIEROPHANT (REVERSED) - They're feeling this way because they're currently breaking with the conventional way of doing things-- they are going against the grain and challenging the social norms around them. They're feeling oppressed because even though they want to move from the past, a part of them is still clinging to the old ways of doing things. Like one foot is stuck in the old world, one in the new and the chasm is growing larger. They really need to learn to live by their own rules as their horizons broaden. WHAT IS THIS FEELING TRYING TO TEACH ME: TEN OF PENTACLES (REVERSED) - This feeling is teaching the person how to break with old traditions. The unconventionality theme goes through both this card and the middle one, so it seems like it's a very important part of the reading. Even though the person here feels like they may have lost everything, it's these challenging situations that push us forward and allow us those opportunities to grow and move forward.
