#sample: showtime

Starts out as a dramatic, orchestral remix of Dissension, but it comes into its own around 1:13 with some original dramatism. At ~2:55, it has some stabs of Dissension, before the full reprise of the beginning at 3:10.

4:58 and the following section feel like a reference to something, but it may be original here. I'm a bit rusty at this.

Either way, it blends rhythmically into some Carefree Victory at 6:11, from a beautiful solo guitar.

7:11 brings us back the Dissension motif, undercut beautifully with Showtime on the horns.

1:05 has Unite Synchronize, and 1:58 has some Showtime, and I guess Lifdoff too? Which I’m not hearing, but I guess it’s there.

At 0:12, there’s a sample of Showtime (the piano refrain specifically). It reappears a couple times. The song was originally meant for John, but it fits the Orphaner pretty well, I think. (Several of the songs on the album were meant for other characters initially.)

The violin at 1:10 is from Showtime.

An incredibly touching and uplifting number. It was initially written as a JohnVris song, but Hussie decided to go another romantic route with it. Four years later. Although, both ships do involve the same iteration of Vriska(Vriska). 

0:26 has some of Lifdoff, 2:15 has a sample of Showtime. 2:26 has what I suppose is a sample from Death of the Lusii? Xzaz has it listed, and that’s the closest thing I could hear. And 2:29 has some of the tune from Ruins, but altered.

Showtime starts in at :06 as the melody before joining the percussion and brass at ~:32.

Those Four Notes at 0:16, some of Showtime at 1:44, and Explore at 2:46, and then out of left field we get a bit of the melody from How Do I Live at 3:38. Again, this is one of those ones that goes past the end mark on Bandcamp, so if you’re on mobile or listening to it via some other source, these time markings are going to be a bit off. Sorry.

A bit of Showtime at 2:08. I love how the music team sometimes plays around with changing the chord progression while keeping the melody the same.
