Oh hey. Howd the book going? Excited to see it! Any idea when they'll ship?

It’s still going to be a little while. I’ll be getting the last few submissions next week, and then I have to do a final read-over of all the submissions as I put them into the book. Once that’s all ready to go and I send it off to the printers, they’ve told me 4-6 weeks is how long it’ll take to proof it, print it, and send it to me. Depending when the books get to me, I’ll then ship them out either before I go home for Christmas break, or after I come back. I’m hoping to get them out before the New Year, but... we’ll see.

I asked J2 about it at JIBcon because it’ll never stop entertaining me, and they gave me the longest answers in regards to how they came up with their characters in it, and I just. I love everything about it, how it’s basically the exact opposite of what the show really is, with a few exceptions that are more like reality turned up to extreme. It’s amazing. It’s just so bloody hilarious.

I’m also sorry that you thought it was real, haha. It’d be horrible if it was.

I'm totally imagining grumpy sick Dean trying to brush Sam off like, "Lemme alone, I'm fine!" because he doesn't want Sam to see him like this and he's the one who should be taking care of Sam. And Sam just smiles patiently and sets down the bowl of soup and pie that he brought before backing out of the room to let his sniffling brother rest. As Sam settles back in the library he gets a text from Dean that just says, 'thank you'. Sam sighs and smiles, making sure to check on Dean every few (1/2)

(2/2) to bring him water and offer a cool cloth for his forehead and watch netflix reruns of all those silly western movies. And Dean grumbles that Sam will get sick but it doesn’t matter because he’s secretly enjoying getting to lay his head on Sam’s lap and cuddle up to him.

This is so good. Yes. This is exactly the kind of talking I needed to happen. Grumpy sick!Dean cuddling up to his brother and being all hot and cold and sleepy at the same time. Eating pie very slowly because he’s sick but also enjoying every bite and even though he can barely taste it it’s one of the best slices he’s ever had because Sam brought it on his own and he didn’t even have to ask. Being too tired to actually focus on Netflix and sometimes just dozing off for a bit with Sam’s fingers resting over his shoulder and the hem of the blanket over him. Just. Brothers being close and resting up.
