Healthy Men thrives on simplicity. The bulk of these uncluttered compositions appear at first like brittle fragments only held together by a jittery sort of youthful agitation-- but when each hits its stride, it's carried aloft in a cloud of buoyant synths and impassioned yelps. One can almost imagine the ghost of Martin Hannett inching up the slider on the keyboard channel as the band oscillates wildly, lost in an ecstatic key-mashing trance.

The one to repeat. Landlocked, perhaps the favorite track on the album, is sound-packed. Its classic synth-scaling pays homage to the best in time-honored pop. With modern day pretty-in-pink-sync and vocals that do none other than command one's attention to daydream drifts, it spirals into sentimental skies. 

The get down. We Were Giants Orbiting dictates dancing. With some of the more upbeat rhythms on the album, it won't disappoint those raring to go. It has an unwavering thrust and coupled with heart-allegiant declarations, its one to keep you alive. 

The wind down. Celestial Bodies has the steady beat of one's heart in bass while synthy guidings hint at the choral sounds of the womb in space. It is the notable down-winding on the album—its lyrics,--miles in dreams, a lullaby. 

All said, Healthy Men calls for a dose of heavy listening. From FIXE with love, we say hands down, No Paws warrants a thumbs up.
