I have literally never sent an ask before so I don't even know if I'm doing this right. BUT I think you're the only other person who likes SAM/Ryder so what are your thoughts about this idea: Scoot has panic attacks and SAM puts him in a relaxed fuzzy state to chill him out (with his consent of course). And in that dreamy half-awake state Scoot starts thinking about sex and it gets mixed up with thoughts of SAM and safety and I don't know. SAM just wants to take care care of his Pathfinder.
Oh man my friend there are many of us who like this pairing! But in lieu of the others being here, I will take this idea because yes. I am a sucker for comfort in sex anyhow and I think that would be a really realistic scenario.
SAM wants to help, wants to do what he can, and takes his prompts on what he should do from how Scott’s feeling. So I can see him observing the way Scott relaxes when he pulls him back from the edge of panic and how his thoughts drift to a sort of lazy arousal. And he attributes it to SAM and of course SAM rolls with it, following Scott’s emotions, picking up on absent ideas of what would feel good and what Scott likes, until he’s letting the orgasm wash over him. I think it would cause a sort of...mental connection? Just like you said, attributing the concept of sex and a damn good orgasm to the pre-existing thoughts of safety that already exist when Scott thinks of SAM.
