Thank you @sanaa_contemporary for featuring my work. 💫🙏 @Regrann from @sanaa_contemporary - Chic new work from Kwesi Abbensetts aka @spaceshipgeorge 's "A Kind of Masking Series" | Derived from the thinking notion of what would a modern mask be. The idea stemmed from the human existing and uncontrollable right to change and mutate identities, - which can become another again. Where does change take you, what does it make you? The masking becomes representative of this process, true or false, either through intention or outer forces. These abstract forms and colors reflect and represent these changed states. They become a supposition of new identities. Metamorphosis is a natural state and to put on a mask is a liberation of self, purpose and environment, to engage new spirit, new awakening, and new energies. The masking becomes that metaphor, an armor of pure potential and a direction. That can become real. The mask becomes a projected evolution and is not static or limited to form, time or place.
