Henrietta - hime lolita for a friend’s wedding. Ordinarily I wouldn’t have dared, but the bride was so beautiful in her gown from Happy Andrada, that there was no risk of being poofier than her ^^
This coordinate is all offbrand items. Actually, aside from the Little Dipper underskirt, it is made from purely non-lolita things.
lace blouse - offbrand
sheer tulle overdress (gathered) - Love Girls’ Market
underskirt - Little Dipper; I think half my wardrobe relies on this skirt
pearl necklace, shoes, lace tights - Forever21
the pearl bracelets and cream fascinator were gifts
This is quite an old WIP. I created it way back, as you can see in last year’s wardrobe post on EGL: [LINK]
It was a choice between the middle coordinate and the one on the right. Since I’ve already worn that, I decided to wear Henrietta. I don’t often get to visit the Raffles (too far!) so given a chance between underdressed and overdressed- I tried to aim for middle ground.
P.S. I didn’t have the space in that teenytiny bag for my camera, and so these were taken on my phone. Sorry for the quality!
Domenica - the tale of Snow White’s evil stepmother.
After reading a great many banned, moste potente evile books (such as FSOG) the Queen found that the best way to be rid of her annoyingly beautiful daughter was to poison her with an apple, as they were exotic fruits that had to be imported from neighboring countries.
So she dipped an apple in poison and presented it to her, saying ‘my dear unwanted darling Snow White, you lack Vitamin D. This apple will put color in your cheeks and keep you looking young for as long as you live.’
And what happened next was...
JSK - Bodyline l529
underskirt - Bodyline l353
blouse - offbrand
belt - offbrand
jewelry - a mixture from various stores including H&M, Fisher, and Landmark
flowers - a mixture of ToxicKitty, Landmark and apostrophe

Shots from my comm’s first photoshoot meet in 2018! The theme was loosely based around fairy tales to suit the setting, and for fun I decided to try more dramatic makeup than I’d done so far. While I did not intend to look evil, by consensus I ended up the villain of the shoot and it was a blast, haha.
More photos, including the rest of the comm’s coords, are on my blog post: Comm Meet: Antique Fairy Tales
Ira - my first coord for 2018 is a casual one. I wasn’t planning on dressing up that day; but then I came across this sundress I’d bought from Kristina and this blouse had ribbons that were a perfect match.
sundress - offbrand
blouse - offbrand
belt - vintage
hat - H&M
bag - offbrand
shoes - Bodyline s527. I replaced the leather cord with satin ribbon. These are the same shoes I wore in THIS coord
This is a pretty personal post, so I’ll be putting the rest under the cut.
I celebrated my birthday yesterday.
It’s been almost four years since I joined the fashion, and back then everything felt too expensive. Lolita is a luxury hobby, and looking at it from the perspective of a third world economy was... shocking, to put it mildly.
Since taking up fashion design, I learned more about the value of materials and construction, and bought a few brand dresses to study them more closely. While there are minor issues (like AATP’s boning), I now think the great care and attention to detail justifies the price.
So you might ask, why do I love this Bodyline JSK so much, when it’s boxy in the bodice and needs alteration? The first reason is that I just really like the colors! The print incorporates such a range of colors that it’s very easy to coordinate, and pink and blue is one of my favorite combinations.
The second reason is more practical, and probably one of the reasons it’s so hard for me to give up on BL in general: it’s sturdy and inexpensive enough that I don’t have to worry about it. My beloved Krad Lanrete JSK is my treasure, but doesn’t get worn half as often as this BL dress because I worry about it so much! I found a tiny snag in the back one day and freaked out. Zofiya from my comm loves Misty Sky, and everyone obsessively checks for damage whenever we’ve been sitting on rough surfaces.
I hope to be able to wear the fashion more. Over time, my wardrobe has grown up just as I have, and my love for the fashion remains as strong as ever.
Emirii - latepost from International Lolita Day! This is at once the simplest and possibly most difficult coordinate I have ever put together, because it’s Sweet! My kryptonite! џ(ºДºџ)
JSK - Emily Temple Cute Biscuit and Cutlery
beige blouse - offbrand
cape - is a miniskirt with a bunch of rosettes pinned on
striped socks - Leg Love
shoes - Figliarina
hat - H&M (modified) + SM Accessories fascinator
vintage tie
Apostrophe ring
that shortcake pin is nearly the only Sweet accessory I have
Katrinne - re-wearing a coordinate from 3 years ago [here]. I was just supposed to run errands today, pick up some necessaries, etc. so I wasn’t going to dress up at all, but then I came across this dress again, and it was easy enough to coordinate under 30 minutes. I tried to incorporate some of the concrit from the Closet of Frills FB group, and switched out my heavy RHS for something a bit more elegant.
The problem is the bag. My go-to for black coordinates is the ahcahcum muchacha bunny bag, which was too casual; I had a moment of panic and picked up this rectangular bag, which once held workman’s tools.
Maybe one day I will find the time to decorate it properly.
stripe velvet OP - offbrand
underskirt - Ray-Mo
neck ruff - offbrand/bread n butter miniskirt
neck ribbon - borrowed off another top
fascinator - SM department store
tights - Leg Love; the only picture I had was really blurred [link]
Caelia - flowerbush Classic for the Philippine Gothic and Lolita Community’s 8th anniversary meet, Lace Up! The great thing about large meets in October is that 1) no one questions your purchases, and 2) there’s no such thing as ‘too much’.
JSK - Innocent World, ‘Palace Rose’
velveteen shirred blouse - offbrand
faux cape - striped blouse, offbrand (worn HERE)
underskirt - Bodyline l353
waist ties - Inori, ‘Maiden of Versailles’
two pairs of hose - both offbrand
mini hat - Foxcherry
flowers on the head - apostrophe
flowers on the waist - ToxicKitty
flowers on the shoulders - load of AliExpress flowers and greenery from Landmark
Akai - Wa lolita for Day 1 of our trip, in Ebisu. This is the final stage in a series of coords: Akari, Akarui, and Momoze. Each time there was something a little bit off, but this time I think I am finally content with the result.
JSK – Angelic Pretty
underskirt – Bodyline l353
haori – local kimono sales
knit turtleneck, fur tippet – both offbrand
knit gloves – Terranova
knit socks – Forever21
boots – Bodyline. Platforms are a must in Japan. Most of the cities have rows of raised guide lines for the blind, and some areas with paving stones. With regular flats your feet would take quite a beating.
bag – ahcahcum muchacha. I hate chain straps, so I replaced it with leather; now I can wear it without the stupid chain tangling in my wig or clothes
velveteen bonnet swiped from my large teddy bear; it still has ear holes, but it fit me and that’s what mattered
I wrote down my thoughts on planning a traveling wardrobe of sorts for lolita, and there was enough to start a mini-series of blog posts. The masterpost can be found HERE, and the details of this coord (Day 1) can be found HERE.
