I don’t know what I was thinking. I could have spent loads of time on this and actually made something halfway decent, but this was a half hour? Maybe? I’ve never been good at drawing faces... or limbs... or anything

Better Know a Wulfgarian - Sana’kis “The Frozen Blade”
The idea for this character came WELL before I moved to an RP server, and even BEFORE Death Knights were an available class. Back when the idea was that you had to sacrifice a level 60 character to get a DK. In this case, I’d have sacrificed my female troll shaman to get a death knight. I ended up using that to write a backstory for Sana, with how she died and revived. It’s in my blog somewhere...
As with most of the Ebon Blade, she is a neutral character. She allies herself with the Wulfgarde, due to their similar goals in defending against the Iron Horde. She follows the same oath in death as she did in life: Protect the Horde at all costs. The nickname “Frost Blade” comes from a moniker given with her proficiency in Frost Magic. She IS the icy harbinger of doom. The scythe... well she likes how ominous it looks.
Once a Hero...
The story of the Frozen Blade. Part 1
“A hero, that’s what you once were”. These are the tales that are told to us after we've broken free, after we've regained what little free will there is left in us. What good do these embellishments do us now? Perhaps a reminder that we were once compassionate beings and that we could be again, someday? Doubtful.
I do not remember much from my life. Vague and foggy memories pass me by like reminders of a better time. If there is anything that I remember well, it is the day of my own death. A bright and sunny day, overtaken by the shadow of a hovering monolith.
I was a shaman, you see. Sworn to protect and heal those in needed. On that day, I was communing with the elements on the outskirts of Razor Hill when suddenly there was a loud crackle of black lightning and thunder. “How could this be?”, I asked while staring into the clear blue sky. It wasn't long before the eerie screeching of the undead and the terrified yells of the living surrounded the air around me. Dark clouds of unholy energy filled the sky around the monolith, causing more and more thunderous dark lightning. I remember feeling a disturbance in the elements, and then my feet hitting the ground hard as I ran as fast as I could to Orgrimmar.
As I neared the now-closed gates of Orgrimmar, I witnessed what looked like a sea of Scourge and Horde clashing with vicious slashing and heavy armor. I watched in terror as some of the fallen horde rose and began fighting along side of the Scourge. I saw a small group group of them shamble slowly towards an Orc mother and her two children, so I grabbed the axe of a nearby fallen and begged the elements for assistance. The axe became frozen and jagged as I rushed towards the shamblers, hacking the head off of everything that got in my way. It wasn’t long before I got to the mother, but it was too late. The Scourge had taken her, and she was beginning to rise again. She rose slowly, crawling towards the petrified and screeching children. I cleaved the shamblers in two before throwing the frozen axe and hitting the risen Orc mother in the back of the head. The children ran as fast as they could back to Razor Hill.
I felt the earth rumble heavily as the elements grew angrier and angrier. To my surprise, there was a group of shaman and druids that seemed to be summoning a furious earth elemental. There was a sharp pain at my side as I ran as quickly as I could to them. Somewhere in my fury, one of the Scourge had caught my left side badly. Blood poured from the wound as my run turned into a labored limp and heavy panting. Using the last of my energy, I helped raise the furious elemental. I fell to the ground as I watched it decimate the invading force, my vision slowly fading to black. I was content that I had served my purpose to the horde. I helped get them one more day.
One more day...
