it may have been bayou’s day off, but she still found herself  in the department store she worked for. she was attempting to shop for herself, admiring a set of booties she knew her new feet could not walk in quite yet. she still needed to work on her balance to pull off any heel taller than half an inch... 

as she sadly returned the shoes to their place, someone caught her attention. they appeared to be struggling to find something. although it wasn’t even her job, she still knew the entire store like the back of her hand, and she felt it only right to help. she cautiously approached. “what exactly are you looking for?”

“um, how much of that did you just see?” ember asked the first person she saw as she walked back from completely embarrassing herself in front of a boy she used to have a crush on back home. her heart was pounding as he came up close to her and once he hugged her and then pulled back, she managed to freeze all of his university books before she then came running over here, not realizing she had an audience until the last minute. “i swear i’m not usually that lovestruck.” she defended herself.

Beautiful Blossoms

Slow. Sabrina’s day was painstakingly moving at the speed of a sloth. The florist shop had been empty for the most of the day, though it wasn’t very surprising. Everyone was too busy getting to know their new surroundings, flowers were hardly a necessity right now. The bell above the door jingled, alerting her of the new customer. “Hi there. Welcome to Beautiful Blossoms” she greeted cheerily. “Can I help you find anything in particular, or help put a bouquet together for you?”

TWO mod posts in a row ?? what’s going on, joey ?? - i know, right. but this is a big announcement that people need to be paying more attention to open starters. i get it, some threads have got you hooked and you wanna get all your replies done, but we’re a group ro, our open priorities are the priority. they’re what keep new characters interacting and more importantly they make sure that people feel wanted and included. like to me that’s more important than anyone’s established threads, including my own. i hope you can understand why !! so please get into the habit of replying to open starters as you see them.. and remember you can reply to one starter multiple times with different characters !! if we peep the notes on recent open starters and your blog doesn’t come up even once, we’re gonna start nagging you about it - which isn’t fun for anybody

the gallery had only been open for a few weeks now. it was fortunate enough to garner some guests from foot traffic, but most of the time it remained quiet. anna was still trying to figure out the technology, but she managed to occupy her time with her newly curated instagram feed. ( it kept her mind away from home and wondering what her kids was up to, at the very least. ) she was so caught up in mindlessly scrolling on the computer she nearly didn’t hear the bell go off as someone entered. people were the best distraction, after all.

“oh,” she quickly sat up and returned to her cheerful demeanor. “welcome!!! please look around! just let me know if you have questions! i promise i can answer most of them.”

“What is that?” Marissa asked, she had just seen someone with a stuffed figure of her dad and the rest of her family, it was confusing to say the least. She knew that she was an arcade game character, everyone back home knew that, but she never had any souvenirs of herself at the arcade.

“oh, dear..” belle sighs, mainly to herself. of course, the one book that she would be looking for is on the shelf that she just can’t seem to reach, no matter how hard she tries. and to make matters worse, there appears to be no ladder in sight ! the queen turns to the person closest to her, offering a gracious smile. “excuse me, would you be so kind as to help me reach that book up there ?” she stands on her tip toes to point to the title, huffing in frustration. “i would greatly appreciate it.”
