So...Crowley owns a villain league? Yeah I can see that-

BUT ALSO IS HE YUU’S (biological or adoptive) FATHER? BECAUSE I CAN TOTALLY SEE THE DYNAMIC OF BOTH OF THEM HIDING THEIR HERO/VILLAIN IDENTITIES FROM EACH OTHER-

Just the funniest scenarios, where Crowley walks into Yuu’s room as they are about to leave through the window.

Crowley: Yuu, your dear father needs some mo- Yuu! What are you doing?!

Yuu: *Already threw the hat away* Uhhh...sneaking out to go to a party?

Crowley: ...

Crowley: I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS! MY OWN CHILD! I’M SO PROUD OF YOU FOR GIVING INTO THE DARK SIDE!

Yuu: What?

Crowley: what?

Yeah, Crowley is gracious enough to provide a support and sponsorship network for all the supervillains under his wings!

He also gives them the opportunity to prove themselves against their fellows, to see which villain is the most super by crafting the scheme which generates the most revenue that Crowley can take a 30% cut of, isn’t he kind?

AND YOOO THAT IS AN EXCELLENT IDEA AND I LOVE THE INTERACTION HERE, IT CRACKS ME UP XD XD

Just the pair of them dancing around the whole “let’s pretend we’re a functional normal family with no secrets to hide, aha ha ha”.

Though in this scenario, it feels like Crowley in his villain disguise would be more vigilant in trying to chase off the wolves-in-supervillains’ clothing from constantly kidnapping and drooling over his dear child. Yuu’s supposed to be hard at work earning a living so that they have the experience to take over his position in the future, not flirting with his underlings!

That or covertly try to set them up with the more financially solvent supervillains XD

But also...what if the one who was Crowley’s biological/adoptive kid was YUUKEN?

And Crowley keeps trying to covertly ferret out whether or not Yuuken really is the Prefect and which supervillains he’s going to stop next.

Yuuken is just tired of his Dad appearing in his apartment and eating all the cupcakes he had in his fridge while he’s out at work.

Oof, poor Villain!Yuu. They’re getting bullied.

But does it come to a point where Yuu snaps and starts going to far? Like instead of minor conveniences they’re making some sort of death ray or doomsday device?

They are, it’s hard being them.

Hmm...I wouldn’t say Yuu would snap and create a death ray...

But dear old Crowley coming around to see how his hatchling’s operations are running and push them to take more drastic measures to “convince” him they’re worthy of being his successor?

They might feel they have no other choice.

Fortunately, Yuu has many more allies that Crowley is largely unaware of since he last bothered to check in on the hatchling, ones who see when they’re in genuine distress and have the money, the technological and magical prowess and the connections to help Yuu fake being a successful and terrifying villain without compromising their morals...

Imagine Yuu getting kidnapped on the day when they have a big important interview that could cost them their job. And then say, “You know what, whatever.” And then the Perfect appears suddenly to stop the villain’s plan even though it doesn’t seem to go “too far”.

Ooh, that’s an interesting possibility.

Because while my kneejerk reaction would be to say that the Prefect just would focus on stealthing their way out rather than try to foil the crime, what if the supervillains are kidnapping Yuu on this specific day and launching huge grandiose schemes because they know that these interviews succeeding could mean Yuu moves up from being just a field reporter on the streets?

That they stop investigating the supervillains and hanging out with the minions altogether?

No. Not happening. Unacceptable.

Of course, they can’t just say that to Yuu, so this is clearly the best option to deal with the problem! It’s the one time that Yuu can’t reason with the minions who are their friends during these times. Even if Yuu loses their job, well, some of them are more than willing to make an alternative employment offer. Azul could certainly make use of their talents, and Malleus is more than willing to offer someone he considers one of his best friends a helping hand.

So it’s either the Prefect foils these crimes or Yuu loses their job.

However, everyone knows that Yuuken also knows just how important these interviews are to Yuu. Everyone knows Yuuken is such a good friend to Yuu that he’s turned down several other, much more lucrative job offers from the RSA to keep working with them.

And everyone knows that the Prefect seems weirdly invested in ensuring that Yuu the Reporter makes it to these interviews and keeps their job.

Is it any wonder that the rumors about Yuuken being the Prefect’s secret identity haven’t died down even when both people are seen in the same place at the same time?

Back on Gregory's Sandbees still being alive and knowing their keeper is gone but still recognizing his family as friends, comforting them for a loss they all shared.
