Convergence interactions with other supers!!
Convergence x Universal Man
He's anxious and she's very self-assured! She usually makes the decisions between them
Gazerbeam and Gamma Jack
348 chicks approve of Jack's hairstyle (Superman 2025 reference) She defo does not really get along with him lol but she'll help if she needs to
She and Simon are familiar with each other behind the mask. The super rights activist lawyer would of course be familiar with the researcher who keeps sending letters to the ethics committee asking for permission to experiment on them
Convergence is rarely caught off-guard— but when she is, she usually ends up with a large gash or two. And when that happens, she can expect to find a certain someone crossing her path all of a sudden.
They're both stubborn in their own way, but Clarisse even moreso especially when it comes to her scientist work. For once, Universal Man takes off the mask, just to assure her he'll be there.
Their PJs are in each other's signature colors btw 💕
Convergence's Relationships with other Supers
She is severely anti-social and prefers to be on her own!
She dislikes so many people. Aside from preferring silence, she has the tendency to look down on people who think highly of themselves, though she's maybe a bit hypocritical on that end. She has a good judge of character though, so she deeply respects people she feels are genuine with themselves and others.
Convergence is more likely to be friends with someone who respects her in return, and will definitely be friends with a super who consents to being involved in an experiment.
More Convergence x Universal Man content soon! I'd love to explore her frenemy relationships with the others along the way.
Incredibles OC stuff WIPs as proof of life
StratoKnight again (ofc), this a popular ship trend but i was particularly inspired by a jondami (DC) piece on tiktok
The Robin inspiration for Hack Knight is SO clear here I hope he'll look like his own character when it's colored 🙏 I also hope I do Meta Man justice
I have so many ideas for Convergence I just haven't had the time... anw her and Blazestone were besties once upon a time
Probably my most awaited piece! I didn't think my Agent Price comics would get as much attention as they did but I am so flattered 🥺
How they protect each other in battle!
More Univergence content!
Convergence, the high-powered offense canon with low indestructibility and her bf with the highest indestructibility...
Convergence prefers working alone, but when she sees Universal Man against a hoarde of evil robots or something, she'll go ahead and deal with the crowd for him! ;)
I think I made her a lil too tall in the second pic since I hc Universal Man to be way over 6ft lol

Convergence's real name is Mary-Clarisse Sanchez. Universal Man's real name is Peter Schwartz.
Before they were dating:
Convergence was "interested" first. She was wholly fascinated with Universal Man's powers— so she initiated their acquaintanceship-to-friendship first. Her initial intention was to get him to agree to an experiment. Universal Man was surprised at her forwardness with him.
Universal Man thought she was okay at first; a little blunt but nothing rude. It wasn't until one day she whacked him over the head with a slab of ground that he felt like he was getting to know her better.
An unexpected deep conversation next to a birria stand struck similarities between them. Convergence brought up her family's escape from her home country due to a changing regime. Universal Man related to that— but it wasn't until they were dating that he told her of his family's escape from Austria.
Universal Man fell in love first. Convergence was taken aback by his confession. She accepted weeks later, after ""some reflective decision-making.""
As a couple:
Convergence still preferred working alone unless needed, and Universal Man had just gotten into the Beta Force. They rarely saw each other on official missions, but when they did, they looked out for each other in small ways. Convergence would throw ground his way when he was in a tough situation. Universal Man had no issue throwing himself in front of her if she was caught off-guard.
Convergence does superhero work less than Universal Man, who dedicates his day-to-day to it. Clarisse usually returns to her lab to finish/continue work, then heads home. Peter follows, joining her in bed late at night.
Of course, Clarisse was the first to show him who she was "behind the mask." It took months before Peter let her remove his.
Peter goes on long tangents, talking about his day. Or about how he loves being Universal Man. Or about how he hates being Peter. Or about the new coffee shop that opened down the street.
Clarisse listens. She's on her computer working. She gives a soft "Mhm", but he knows she's listening. She interrupts him when his thoughts tread too far, waking him to the present.
They argue a lot, about things mundane and big. Clarisse didn't come home once and didn't call, so Peter was afraid she was in trouble— or that she left him. Peter knows Clarisse doesn't talk even when something bothers her; one day, she exploded in yelling and accusations. Once, they fought over mixed laundry.
Things got worse after the ban on Supers. Clarisse buried herself in work to get busy. Universal Man had no choice but to become "Peter". Arguments became senseless. Eventually, they broke up.
After the breakup:
Clarisse pretended it was for the better. She worked thrice as hard to not think about it. Peter had broken down almost completely; no identity, and no Mary-Clarisse.
Peter still wanted someone to settle down with, especially with no life as a super anymore. He quickly went back into the dating scene. Clarisse would never pursue a relationship until the present day.
On their birthdays, they still send each other gifts. They don't text, but they write letters. When Clarisse was promoted at work, Peter sent a gift. When Peter moved, Clarisse was at the party for an hour.
Eventually...
When Peter Schwartz went missing, Clarisse knew weeks later. But she was the first to know it was Universal Man that had gone missing. One of the few to know that Universal Man and Peter Schwartz were one and the one.
Doctor Mary-Clarisse Sanchez would eventually quit her job and turn over ownership of her research labs to her mentee. Since Universal Man's defeat until present day, she works with the NSA to locate the other missing supers.
I was looking at your Oc Convergence, at your couple tropes of Convergence and Universal Man.
Who is "You were a wonderful experience." from the Universal Man or Convergence couple?
Who is "You Were Everything", Universal Man or Convergence?
This is a very good question and a good opportunity for me to yap!!!
It might seem like Universal Man's the "you were everything" line, since he's known for overdependence on his partners to soothe and receive comfort for everything that's happened to him. Convergence MIGHT seem like the "you were a wonderful experience" line, because's she's known to be cold and emotionally avoidant, thus capable of moving on from him when things fall apart.
But actually, it's the other way around. Convergence was a complex but positive romantic experience for Universal Man, but he was almost EVERYTHING to her, even if it doesn't seem that way.
See, Peter (Universal Man) moved from one person to another, finding comfort and safety at any cost. Though he fails to admit it, he overdepends on the attention of others to validate his identity, which makes it more painful when he takes off the mask/refuses to take off the mask, as this is USUALLY when his relationships start spiraling. His relationship with Anne-Clarisse (Convergence), with the added benefit of her also being a super, momentarily felt like it was strengthened by their honesty in terms of their indentities. Though their relationship would (eventually) fall apart anyway, it remains as one of (if not the only) relationship of Peter's that gave him the experience of being loved beneath his mask. It is an EXPERIENCE he will never forget, and one he will never again experience up until his death.
On the other hand, Anne-Clarisse does not date around. In fact, she actively refuses to do so, because she prioritizes her civilian and hero work above all else; viewing relationships as a distraction. Enter Universal Man, one who caught her interest, and for a moment, she believed they were kindred souls. She never opens up to ANYONE, at least not to the extent she did with Peter. She discovered her vulnerabilities through him. It was with him alone that she felt things that would change her as a person forever. Peter changed all of her, and so, he was EVERYTHING to her. Beyond being "Universal Man" and being "Convergence", and beyond his disappearance. His impression on her was so lasting and seething in her heart that it defines not just how she views relationships, but everything.
