“Throw her in the laundry brig!” 🎶 Who's in a bunker? Who's in a bunker? 🎶 …Me! Built during #WWII, these bunkers were lookouts for a potential Japanese invasion of the US. They were only used for about five years before they were abandoned. Later, the land around them became a beautifully and ecologically important piece of public land. Fun Fact: Other pieces of this history are on a federal monument that you have to pay to enter or have been closed off or destroyed by a number of a-holes, including a local nepotist’s son who lost his congressional seat and was going to go to jail before he got pardoned by an even more corrupt reality tv host!
