certainly not a first timer when it came to being on those high shoes, neither was she one to complain about it. rather special as it was unique, laced throughout previous hardships --- not skipping a heartbeat, donna would put a pause on her life if it meant the protection and safety of a loved one such as cassandra sandsmark. under the eldest adoring gaze the girl represented a part of her found family, and the future of generations to come. it was a lot to be carried under her shoulders, though --- no one could be more aware about the weight this job had on their shoulders, equal to a traitor ill line of thoughts when regarding mental health. clearly vocal, donna made sure to be a phone call of distance whenever cassandra would require her.
perhaps she should settle for the current wonder girl's reassurance instead of living under recurring doubts. more than ever, what cassie needed the most from her was to believe she was capable, to trust her instincts, just like a very much younger version of donna pleaded with diana many years ago. ❝ I am truly glad that you do, Cassie, ❞ her lips curve into a smirk, ever so soft and gentle. azure hues then directed to the horizon painting the sky ahead, in front of them ; a glimpse of the end of another day drawn in shades of yellow and red. ❝ I believe in you. always will --- Sorry if I'm acting far too cautious, or protective even. ❞ her curls cascating down her shoulders, a moment of silence before the conclusion. ❝ you are a great wonder girl, &. it's my honor to have you carry a title so beloved by me. ❞
“i know i can count on you for anything.” old meme, @sandmark.
