5 Reasons why we love The Sam Willows
We all have our own reasons to why we love The Sam Willows so here are the 5 reasons to why we love them!
1. Their music of course!
They do really good music covers such as their recently released cover of Kodaline's "All I Want" and other hits such as Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" and Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass".
Setting aside the wonderful covers they've made, they do write and produce wonderful songs such as those from their previous EP! This includes everyone's favourite, "Glasshouse" and one of our personal favourite, "Crimson". Not only that their songs sound great, their lyrics are meaningful and deep too.
Not to forget they've recently released the tunes they've made for the 28th SEA Games. "Ordinary", "Flags Up" and "Champion". Aren't they just pure talent?!
2. They can perform live and when they do it's a whole new experience!
Are you a fan of The Sam Willows but haven't been to any of their gigs or performance before? If so, you are definitely missing out from the good stuff!
Listening and seeing them on YouTube through the videos they uploaded like covers and originals will not be enough for you if you ever heard and seen them perform live! As mentioned in the earlier posts on how we got to watch them perform, we still hold our stand on how the experience was breath taking and flawless.
3. The way they treat their fans.
Also mentioned in one of our earlier posts, we talked about how we managed to meet The Sam Willows and had a short but sweet interaction with them. They were so warm and welcoming when we first met them such as asking for our names and talking about anything and everything that the six of us could think of before they had to rush off.
Other than being warm and friendly in person, they do interact with other fans on social media platforms such as Twitter by retweeting tweets that they were mentioned in and even to the point of replying them! Just imagine how elated those fans could have been when that happened. And did you guys know, the band also tries to remember the names of each and every fan that they've met because they just love us all! How sweet and sincere of them!
4. They are a group of really funny and adorable people.
Yes! They are funny and adorable. We all know that they are all uniquely beautiful on the inside and out but when it comes down to which part of them that we like the most, it is definitely their sense of humour. A really good example would definitely be Benjamin Kheng's legendary reply on ask.fm

5. The love they have for each other.
Bands are definitely easy to form but always a challenge to keep close and tight with all the difficulties that may come along the way and differences amongst the band members. But looking at The Sam Willows, we are pretty sure it is definitely the love and understanding that they have for each other that keeps them all together.
From a loving brother and sister relationship between Benjamin and Narelle Kheng to a bromance between Jon and Benjamin, we can see their friendship is indeed strong. Referring back to their The Sam Willows - 20 Questions video, they've mentioned that they do quarrel over things but they will never stop caring for one another even when they are still pissed. Check out their 20 Questions video and just take note of their band dynamics, it speaks a lot for itself.
