August 7, Post 1 - Perfectly Beautiful Flowers . Today I spent the morning at the San Francisco Botanical Garden doing macro photography which I am totally hooked on now. I took 250 photos but quite a few were of bees. Bees are moving targets even when they've landed. .. . I picked these three flowers to post first because the first two are close to perfect and I think the third is perfectly imperfect, like a wacky designer shirt all wrinkled at the end of the day, left behind in the garden. .. . The camera settings are a challenge to stay on top of when going in and out of different lighting scenarios in the garden. I take more of the unpaved paths to look for flowers I haven't photographed before. Macro photography is a fun sport. .. . End Notes: Everyone inside the Botanical Garden had masks on😷 and I didn't come within 10 feet of another person👏👏👏. I talked to Carolyn when she pulled her tripod out to photograph the windflowers. She said a lot more people are out taking pictures of flowers. I believe it. It is a very rewarding therapy.. . After the Botanical Garden I drove through Golden Gate Park to the Great Highway and around Lake Merced. I pulled over and took some 300 mm zoom photos of golphers from across the lake. I could say I was at the Harding Park PGA Open this year and show off the cropped pictures but nobody would believe me. .. Not now!😀 .
