This is the fic that opened my eyes to the sangli agenda and it remains one of the (if not the) best Yanli fics I've read. This is actually part of a series which starts with Wei Wuxian having his hand cut off during the siege of Lotus Pier and continues from there as a canon-divergence. The rest of the series include Wangxian and Chengqing perspectives, and a really good Meng Yao story, but the Sangli one is just *chef's kiss*. If you're a fan of soft diplomacy and competent women being in charge please read this fic.

Side pairing Sangli but there are some really cute moments with those two spotlighted. The main focus is on the Yunmeng Siblings, pretty equally split between Yanli and Wei Wuxian POV so another good one if you were actually looking for Yanli fics not Sangli! Also has one of my favourite ever Lan Wangji & Jiang Yanli interactions in the later chapters.

There are also definitely more in my to be read open fic tabs but these two I can wholeheartedly recommend!

I wonder if you will read it if I write it. But I'm not good at writing fanfics.
