Person A is a waiter at a cute little café. Person B comes in one day and orders the noodles, but can’t wrap them round their fork properly. Person A has been watching from the kitchen and comes over to show them how it’s done.
It had been a long day at the café. They were short on staff and most of the customers were rude. Not to mention, half of them left huge messes, which made Dean really angry. “At least clean up after yourselves. Fucking assholes.” He mumbles to himself. As he’s clearing the dirty table, another customer walks in. Glancing up, he catches a glimpse of a woman, her dark hair preventing him from seeing her face. Dean hurriedly finishes the table and walks over to the girl, shooing the waiter already on his way.
“Hello darlin’. I’m Dean.” He introduces himself and hands her a menu. The woman smiles politely. “What can I get you to drink?” “Just a water please.” She says. “You got it. I’ll give you a few minutes to decide what you want.” Dean replies, smiling with dimples on full display. As he goes to walk away, the girl stops him. “Actually Dean, this is my first time here, and I have no idea what’s worth getting.”
Taking her eyes off the menu, she puts them on Dean. He finds himself lost in her stare. Her eyes are a shade of brown he’s never seen. They almost look yellow. The gentle calling of his name breaks him free of his trance.
“Uh, well, the carbonara is really good. It’s what the place is known for.” Dean smirks. The woman nods. “Alright. I’ll have that then.” She hands him the menu. Their fingers touch and Dean swore he felt electricity. “Good choice. Can I get a name to go with such a pretty face?” He asks, making her blush slightly. “(Y/N).” “(Y/N). Beautiful name for a beautiful woman. I’ll be back soon with your water. We’re short on staff, so your meal may take just a little while to come.” Dean smiles and winks at the woman before walking away.
Ten minutes later and the mystery woman’s lunch was finished. Now Dean was watching her from the kitchen. She seemed to be having trouble getting the noodles into her fork. He couldn’t help but laugh a little at the sight. /how could someone so flawless have trouble twirling noodles?/ He thought to himself. Dean noticed her increasing anger.
“She’s a looker ain’t she dude?” One of the other waiters spoke. Dean adverted his attention from the beauty across the way to look at the waiter. “Yeah, she’s pretty cute.” Dean agrees, turning his gaze back to the woman. “Just cute? Cmon man! She’s hot! I bet she has guys chasing her left and right!” He says. Dean rolls his eyes. “Yeah I guess.” The coworker shakes his head. “Man you’re blind!” Dean sighs taking his apron off. He throws it to the man. “Nah. I’m not blind. Just have more respect for women than you.” He flips him off before leaving the kitchen.
“Oh for crying out loud!” (Y/N) said, frustration obvious in her tone. “Havin some trouble darlin’?” The voice startles her. Looking up, she sees Dean sitting across from her, a smile plastered on his face. She scoffs and nods. “Just a little. I’ve never had food give me so much trouble.” She places the fork down. Dean then grabs the plate and utensils. He puts the fork in the noodles then picks up the spoon. (Y/N) quirks a brow at him. He takes the fork full of pasta and uses the spoon to help twirl it.
“It’s easier like that.” Dean says. He pushes the plate back to her with a smug look. She laughs and thanks him. “I don’t know why that never donned on me. Thank you Dean.” “Not a problem doll. If you’d like, I could keep you company in case them noodles give ya anymore trouble.” He winks. (Y/N) smiles shyly while taking a bite of her Carbonara. “I wouldn’t want to get you in trouble.” Dean dismisses her concern. “Don’t worry about it. I’m done for the day. I have no problem spending time with a beautiful girl such as yourself.”

Summary: Evelyn Snow is an aspiring singer songwriter. She has a big fan base thanks to YouTube. Even with a bug following, it’s failed to get her recognized by record labels. Seth, her long time boyfriend, is her biggest supporter. He does everything in his power to get her noticed. Without his constant reassurance, Evelyn would quit a long time ago. Seth is her inspiration, her muse.
The guitar strings hummed in the make shift studio. Tuning was such a tedious job, but it had to be done. Minutes passed as I tried to perfect the pitches. Finally satisfied, I strum a few chords to ensure that the instrument is in tune. “Perfect!” I say to myself. I grab the pick on the stand in front of me and begin warming up, first with scales and then with random songs. It’s another tedious chore, but it sure helps me.
Just as I’m about to begin my vocal warm ups, I hear my name followed by taps on the door. “Evelyn?” I put my guitar back in its case. Hopping off the chair, I walk to the door to open it. I’m greeted with warm chocolate eyes and a loving smile. “I didn’t interrupt anything did I?” He steps inside and looks at the small space. “No. I was only warming up.” I say. I shut the door behind me and turn to his direction. He takes a seat in the stool I previously occupied. Patting his legs, he gestures for me to come to him. I shuffle towards him. I place my hands high on his thighs as he wraps his arms around my waist, making sure to pull me close. I bring my forehead to his and smile. “Is there something you needed Seth?” I ask him. Closing his eyes, Seth shakes him head. “Nothing in particular. I just wanted to come see my Eve.”
I bring my hands to his beard. I notice it’s getting bushier. I gently scratch the facial hair before moving my hands up to his hair. It’s tied back in a bun. The blond patch in his hair is well grown out. I frown. “When are you going to let me recolour that for you?” Seth lets out a breath. “Never. It’s going bye bye.” “You know how much I love it though.” I pout. I twirl a finger around a loose strand of his hair. He moves his hands up to my face and cups it. I lean in and kiss him with tenderness. His lips softer than a feather pillow.
I pull away and pat his cheek lightly. “I love you dearly, but if you don’t leave, I’m never going to get this song done.” I grab his arms and tug him off the seat. He frowns as I kick him out. “But what’s an Eve with her Architect?” I can’t help but chuckle at our silly inside joke. “A more focused human being. I promise once I have it completed, I will play it for you. Now please. Let me finish.” Seth reluctantly leaves the room, but not before planting a kiss on my cheek. “I have no doubt that it’ll be perfect sweetheart.” He winks at me before turning away. I feel colour rush to my cheeks as I shut the door.
A few hours went by as I struggled with the new song. I’ve been working it for close to a month now, trying to get at least a rough draft completed. I couldn’t even manage that. I rest my chin on my hands and scowl. I look at the notepad in front me. There’s only two lines written: You gave me the light I needed. You helped sculpt me into existence. Biting my lip, I hang my head in defeat. “I’m never going to get this done.” I get off my seat and place all the strung out equipment in their proper locations. I take one last look at the room and sigh.
After leaving my music sanctuary, I went to the kitchen in hopes of finding Seth. He wasn’t there. Instead, there was a plate of waffles and a small bowl of strawberry syrup with a note. I smiled and read the piece of paper.
Evelyn,
Sorry I couldn’t see you again before I left for work. I’ll be doing a little overtime tonight, so I’ll be home late. I hope you enjoy your breakfast. I know it’s your favourite.
Love Seth
I set the note back down and grab the food. The waffles are still warm which suggests he left just a short while ago. The smell fills my nostrils. I didn’t realize how hungry I became. I take a seat at the breakfast nook and stare out the window. It looks out to the chilly autumn morning. The trees leaves are shades of red and golds. A gust of wind blows and forces fallen leaves to dance. In that moment, all seems well.
I forget that I’m on a deadline for this song. I forget about my potential record deal. I forget that I haven’t yet told Seth about it. I forget it all as I dredge my waffles in strawberry bliss.
(((Just a quick snippet of a series I’m working on. I won’t post it until it’s completely done so I don’t start it then never finish. Let me know what you think!!)))
“Evelyn please! This is such a great opportunity! You’d be insane not to take it!” Brie handed me my tea as she spoke. I took it with a half hearted smile. I looked down into the brown liquid. "I know, but.." I sigh. Brie nods. "Seth. Right." I bite my lip and try to fight back tears that are trying to fall. "He's my biggest supporter. He believes in me so much. I couldn't ask for a better man in my life. I know he would drop everything for me so I could have this, but I couldn't ask him to. He's doing so well in his career and I don't want to take that away from him."
There's a splash in my drink. I wipe the trail that the lone tear left. Brie extends her hand to me and I grasp it. She gently gives it a squeeze. "Hey. Don't cry. There's no need for it." I look up to her she meets my eyes with a sympathetic smile. "Seth will be so unbelievably proud of you no matter what. He'd be a fool to not see this as a good thing. This meeting could finally be the big break you've been waiting for. It could be the thing to put you on the map. If Seth can't accept that, then it's his loss." Brie finishes.
I stare down at the tea in my hand again, the colour resembling Seth's gorgeous eyes. I haven't taken a sip from it. Nodding my head, I set the cup on the table and stand, prompting my best friend to do the same. She pulls me in for a hug. "Thank you Brie. I have no idea what I would do without you. You're seriously the best." I say. She gives me a big grin. "You're welcome Evelyn." I give her one more hug before departing. "I guess I should go. I have a big decision to make."
With that, I left, trying to brace myself for Seth's reaction when I tell him I'm leaving for LA.
AN: I'm super proud of how this turned out. I love it. Definitely one of my favourites.

Summary: Everyone says you should fall in love with your best friend, but how often are the feelings mutual?
"YEAH! That's right baby! I'm Seth freakin' Rollins!" Seth yelled. He jumped up off the floor and threw the controller down in excitement. "That's not fair! I haven't played this too much yet!" I pout. He looks down at me and laughs. "Awe c'mon (Y/N). It's just a game. It's no big deal." "Easy for you to say. You didn't get your ass kicked." I mumble. Seth chuckles and offers me a hand. I reluctantly take it, pulling myself up. He tries to hug me, but I push him away. He places a hand on chest and acts offended. I roll my eyes. "I want a rematch." I state. Seth gives me a look. "You sure about that sweetheart? You did see that I completely destroyed you right?" I glare at him. "Don't call me sweetheart. I'll kick you ass this time." Seth scoffs. "Yeah, okay sure you will (Y/N)." "I will!" I grab the controllers and hand one to him. He stares at it before looking at me with that shit eating grin of his.
"Alright, and what if you don't?" He asks. "You wanna make this a bet now?" I say. Seth nods. "Kay fine. What do I have to do if I lose?" I cross my arms and wait. He rubs his beard while he thinks. "If you lose, you have to..." His voice trails off. I could see the lightbulb come on as the idea popped into his head. "You have to be my personal assistant for a week." He says with certainty. "Fine." I agree. "When you lose-" Seth cuts me off. "IF I lose." I roll my eyes again. "Whatever. When or if you lose, you have to tell me how you really feel about me." I see him tense up slightly. I quirk a brow at him. "Is that a problem, Seth?" He shakes his head. "Nope. Not a problem at all. Let's get this started so I can demolish you again." Seth goes back to his spot on the floor. Confused by his sudden attitude change, I follow.
"NO, NO, NO!" Seth yells. I'm moments away from beating him. The win is so close I can taste it. "C'mon you piece of crap!" He shouts again. I laugh at him, which only furthers his anger. Seth tries to hit his characters finisher but it misses, giving mine an opening. I hit him with a series of moves and my finisher. "FUCK!" He throws the controller down as I defeat him. "Yes! I fucking told you! What now huh!?" I jump up and do a victory dance while Seth pouts. I walk over to him and sit behind him. I tousle his hair. He laughs slightly then turns around so we're face to face. I beam at him. "So about that bet, Sethie boy." "Don't call me that." His voice filled with annoyance. I chuckle. "Sorry. C'mon though! I'm dying to hear all about how great of a best friend I am." Seth sighs then claps his hands on my knees, giving them a gentle squeeze. His expression softens as his brown eyes look at my smiling face. "A bet's a bet I guess." He lets out a breath before speaking.
"You're right about being a great best friend. I couldn't ask for someone better. I'm glad you willingly put up with my awesomeness. I'm glad you also put up with my schedule. I know it's not easy."
He pauses and trails a finger up and down my outer thigh. I look down at the hand then back to him. I see something in his gaze, something I've never seen there before. I feel numb looking at him. Seth senses he has all my attention then continues.
"It means a lot to me that you're still here. Most people would've bailed by now. I'm beyond grateful that you haven't." He smiles a bit and I smile back. "Just you in general mean a lot to me. I can't put it into words really. You're the greatest thing to ever happen to me, beside my championship of course."
I swat at him and he laughs. I switch my position and sit on my knees. Seth nervously grabs my hands and intertwines our fingers. He sighs. No amount of preparation could've prepared me for what he said next.
"And, I really hope by telling you this, that I don't fuck up this all up, because I would be lost without you (Y/N). If it wasn't for this bet, I don't think I ever would have been able to tell you how I truly feel. Maybe with some alcohol it'd be possible, but never sober. But, somewhere down the line, I fell in love with you."
Seth looks at me. I sat there, too stunned to speak. I broke from his stare for a moment. When I returned his gaze, I could see he was worried he messed everything up. Not knowing what else to do, I crawled over to him and kissed him. I pulled away slightly and found his warm eyes. I bit my lower lip. Seth leaned in for another kiss. I pushed him back so he was laying on the floor. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me flush against his body. The contact left me weak. He trailed a finger along the exposed flesh of my lower back. His touch sent chills up my spine. I reluctantly broke the kiss to gage his reaction. Seth let his arms fall away from me with a big smile. "So I guess the feelings are mutual?" I bit my lip again and smiled. "I guess so." I reply. Seth leans up and pecks my lips.
I've having personal issues again and I just simply can't write a thing. I'll work on a the requests I do have when I can, but I have no clue when they'll be posted, or when I'll be back. I'm sorry to just disappear again, but anything I write will be utterly terrible.
