Charles is quite open-minded about sex. He doesn't consider kinks to be a shameful thing, and he'd be willing to try new things out if he believes he might enjoy them. He's curious and lustful. I think the only thing he'd have second thoughts about would be BDSM, even if he is quite into it, mostly because of the bad associations he has with such situations, and because he wouldn't want to like it.

You might not realise it, but you have helped me gain a lot of confidence in my writing, and also you have shown me so much support through the hardships I have been facing lately. I can’t even begin to thank you! 

Dani is such a good writer, you know? I feel intimidated to write with her? She is one of these people, who have the English language wrapped around her little finger, she is this good. I honestly envy her for her skill. It’s unbelievable.

» 19. What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?

He believes he always knows better. He is very driven by his sense of right and wrong, and his rights and wrongs are absolute in his eyes, even if they constantly change. Through the whole manga, his world view changes multiple times, and each time, he tries to enforce it on others in one way or another, way without realizing how volatile and impressionable he actually is, and how he himself always relies on people and things to guide him on his way to epiphany. It destroys his relationships with Marie and Gabriel the most.

» 37. Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status?

His status. He is not prideful enough to care for his honour, his status however, is the only thing, which separates him and his family from the gutter.

Irrationality. Charles knows people act on their emotions, so does he, but he still sees himself as a rational person. He wouldn’t be willingly ignorant and close his eyes before facts and logic, only because of his feelings or fears. Charles is a person, who is quite open to being proven wrong or taught better by others, he is open to new perspectives and points of view, because he wants to grow as a person. He’d even rationalise the wrong others do him to understand them better.

People, who are too blinded by fear, hatred, pride, old conventions, grudges, etc., to be able to make reasonable decisions, annoy him, especially when others get to suffer the consequences.
