SANTA DASH, LIVERPOOL // 6.12.15
SANTA DASH, LIVERPOOL // 6.12.15
A massive thank you to all the Santas that agreed to my mad idea yesterday morning at the Santa Dash on Hove Lawns. You were all fabulous...!!! I showed this video at The Alternative Light Switch On held at Patterns night club yesterday afternoon and it brought a lot of enjoyment to a lot of people and i know at least 4 of you in these videos were recognised by friends attending the event.
Thanks again for being such great sports, and come and look out for me at the Heroes Run on Hove Lawns in May to have another one made in glorious sunshine hopefully. Please feel free to share with friends and family.
Britain’s biggest Santa dash turns Liverpool into a sea of red LONDON, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Britain's biggest Santa dash took to the streets of Liverpool Sunday as thousands of men, women and children braved a rain storm wearing traditional Santa costumes.
Brainwave Santa Dash
Up until a few minutes ago Christmas was still just a distant event happening later on in the year. That was until we walked into Starbucks and saw that the red cups have appeared. There’s no going back now, it’s very nearly almost Christmas. No point holding back people.
So, to get you in the mood we thought we’d tell you about a race coming up in a few weeks. And not just any race, a Santa race. Yep, one of those where you dress up in a Santa costume along with hundreds of other people. The perfect event for the festive runner.
But what makes this Santa run even better is he fact it takes place on a week night (we may have mentioned how much we like week night running events).
The 5k route will start at Old Spitalfields Market on Tuesday 8th December. Yep, you might need to leave work early but it is for charity and it’s Christmas, so probably quite easy to wangle. There are a couple of starting waves so you can start a bit later (the last wave start is 6.45).
The event will raise money for Brainwave, a great charity raising money for children with disabilities and additional needs. Which, to be honest, should be enough to make you want to get involved. But if the season of goodwill isn’t enough to get you over there, you also get a medal, a Santa suit and a Christmas cocktail to finish. Not bad at all for a £25 entry fee.
So yeah. A pretty damn good event all round.
For more information about the charity, about entering the run or to see how you can raise money for Brainwave, nip over to the website here.
