Counterpoint at the Santa Fe Complex

(note: this is not a CIRE event, just keeping people updated on events of interest)

Counterpoint, a one-night musical and visual collaborative performance will be presented at Santa Fe Complex Friday, March 23rd at 7:00 p.m. The Chatter Chamber Ensemble will perform Steve Reich’s Different Trains and Arnold Schoenberg’s Transfigured Night and each composition will be accompanied by the world premier of a video commissioned by Santa Fe Complex for the performance. The video for Different Trains was created by Asha Tamirisa, an interdisciplinary artist whose work expresses the collaboration of sound, video, and movement. The video for Transfigured Night was created by Swiss artist Michael Spahr, aka VJ Rhaps, whose body of work includes documentary and narrative film, animation, and the creation of interactive video backdrops for theater.
