Santa Clara Nights 1&2!

Hi!

So I still don’t fully understand tumblr, but here it goes. 

My name is Katie, I’m 21, and I am a HUGE Taylor Swift fan.  Pretty much any time I’m feeling down, listening to her music makes me feel better.  This past year wasn’t easy for my family, and the line “I’ve got this music in my mind saying it’s gonna be alright” just kept playing over and over in my head and making me smile. 

I was in Mozambique (on the east coast of Africa, just west of Madagascar) for 8 weeks this summer doing research for my senior thesis (check out my blog! : http://frmawy.blogspot.com/).  It was an incredible experience and I learned a lot.  The main downside was that being there meant I missed all of Taylor’s shows by my house (I’m from NJ).  Which made me very sad :(

BUT. My older brother (who just happens to be exactly 5 days older than Taylor) is amazing.  He lives in San Francisco now, and he bought me tickets to see Taylor in Santa Clara, CA on 8/15.  We’ll both be in Wonderland-inspired outfits, sitting in FLR L, Row 40, seats 11&12.  I also was lucky enough to get tickets to see her on 8/14: I’ll be going with a friend for that show and we’ll be in B Stage Pit.  

I AM SO EXCITED IT’S UNREAL.  I just got out to CA yesterday evening, and I can’t wait until next weekend.  

Taylor, if you read this, please just know that I love you and I cannot wait to party with you next weekend.  You and your music have helped me more than I can say, both this summer/year and in years past.  I would absolutely love to be able to give you a hug and tell you in person, but I am so so excited just to see you kill it on stage.  Thank you for everything you do for me and everyone else in this fandom.
